We had a blessed stay.
We were greeted happily by Huey.when we arrived on the property. We were given a tour by the owner and Huey. Huey stayed to play with us. It's a nice, quiet place to visit. We enjoyed the within walking distance river.

I have been taking my 4 grandchildren aged 10 to 15 on a summer holiday for the past 5 years. I chose this property because it was on the river for fishing and swimming, close to Waterton for hiking and sightseeing and close to amenities yet rural. The kids and I really enjoyed floating down the river and exploring the ranch especially visiting with the dogs and horses. The cabin was comfortable and the bedding was good quality. Joe was welcoming and very helpful.

About the host

Hosted by Joe Jacobson

Host profile image
Joe is a retired rancher/outfitter that has decided to share his beautiful riverfront cabin with small groups and families that love the outdoors and especially fishing the pristine waters of southern Alberta....not to mention, if you ask nicely, he will happily share his Saskatoon and chokecherry berries when they are in season !!

Why they chose this property

Private...private...and seriously private !! Riverfront cabin on the Oldman River...15 minutes from the small town of Pincher Creek, Alberta. Fish the Oldman River, Crow's Nest River, Castle River, Oldman River Reservoir. Waterton National Park is only a 45 minute drive away from this remote cabin.

What makes this property unique

Fishing, hiking, kayaking, an abundance of wildlife ... all available without ever leaving Jacobson's Riverside Ranch. From the highest point on the ranch, you can enjoy beautiful Rocky Mountain views, with the river as a background ....a photographers paradise....
Perfect for a romantic getaway or bring the kids......you will never want to leave...but you will certainly come again !
