Great southern hospitality! Check in and check out process was super easy. Any questions/concerns we had where answers/dealt with very promptly. The property is very nice and well maintained. It was nice to sit on the rocking chair on the front porch listening to birds and drinking our coffee in the morning. If we need a place to stay again while down in Gordo we will definitely be back.
Paradise for dogs and those who enjoy the outdoors
Title explains it all! My 2 dogs were so happy and my husband caught tons of fish (or possibly the same fish tons of times… who can tell fish apart?) serenity and calm off grid.
The property was exactly as described. We did not spend much time there other than to sleep, so we didn’t check out the property amenities, but the property is neat and well maintained. Cabin was clean, ready upon arrival, easy check in and out and all the necessities were provided. Coffee pods and snacks were also a nice treat! It is secluded bit easy to find usung GPS. It’s about 30 min from Tuscaloosa but easy to get to the stadium and out of traffic on 82 West! Perfect for our stay!
The property itself was vast, secluded and quiet. The upkeep of the ground and lake were practically immaculate, aside from a few ant mounds that were easily avoided. The property owner, Len, was friendly, kind and inviting. They even provided food bowls for our pets without our requesting them. Thoughtful and courteous, I couldn’t ask for a better host.
The property was very nice and clean with a nice large pond in the front. It was nice and quiet and just what we needed. It was 30 minutes away from my sons graduation in Tusculoosa. We will be sure to stay here in the future if we are ever back in Tusculoosa.
This cabin is very remote, we lost slcell service but the quiet little cabin was much needed foe the hubby and I. Being unplugged away from the world is necessary sometimes. Hosts made this visit very easy and great with communication.
Property grounds were peaceful, evening brought lots of stars! We weren't on the property much as we arrived at 6:30 Friday, left early Sat. mornng for 11am game, ate in town and returned exhausted around 8pm. Left to head home at 8am. We chose this property over staying at a hotel closer in and are happy we did. Bed was comfortable, shower had great water, even had a digital scale!! WE will definitely visit again!
Oh my gosh! What a great time! I give Len an A+ for hospitality! We loved everything he had to offer! Would definitely stay there again! So relaxing, the lake was awesome!
We had the most amazing time!! The property is a little slice of heaven. My kids fished, paddle boated, and visited the goats. If you are looking for a place to unwind and disconnect, this is the perfect spot. And you will not find more generous and kind hosts. This is the place we want to return to every time we come to visit our kiddo who goes to UA.
This place is picture esc! The pond is out of a painting, the cabin has a nice feel and the trees are incredible! We loved our stay, hope to stay again
