Ok for overnight but not extended stay

We walked into what appeared to be a clean and cool house. However we immediately saw one bedroom had been overlooked for clean sheets and towels. This was rectified before our friends arrived. But I’m not sure how you advertise a place that sleeps 13 and provide seating for two in the “living room” and seating for one at the island where one should be eating. This “vacation” home had no coffee maker, no plates, no silverware….no thing from which to drink. The fridge appeared to be brand new but the ice maker was not working. Then the two year old proved how dirty the floors really were with his blackened feet. This plus the garbage that was left in a cupboard and the very greasy stove top, added to our discomfort. While the management was responsive to texts, the beeping smoke detector battery was not seen to and continued throughout the night. I truly believe the cleaning fee should be refunded to us. This is the second time I’ve rented a VRBO from a management firm, and it’s the last.
