About this property

Welcome to Sea La Vie (our translation of “this is the life at the beach!) a spacious 2 bedroom, 2 full bath home about 1 mile from toes in the sand! Two private bedrooms, each with a super comfy queen bed, and two full bathrooms offer enough room for 2 couples to share space comfortably.

My Galveston Getaway manages this and many other properties in Galveston, and we love helping families celebrate special occasions. Whether it’s a birthday, anniversary, proposal or retirement – let us know! We like to play a small part in the celebration when we know about it.

Whether you’re traveling on vacation for the beach, the history, eating your way across an island, or work (there are several refineries, hospitals and other industries that bring workers to town) make Sea La Vie your home away from home. Close to groceries, restaurants, historical sites, etc. – or if you’re coming before or staying after a cruise on Carnival, Disney, Royal Caribbean – this home has historical features (original hardwood floors, some of the furnishings, period tile) as well as all of the modern conveniences including full size kitchen and laundry appliances, a spot to dine in the dining room, relax in the living room, or play cards, games or work a puzzle in the nook off the kitchen.

We welcome one small dog (with pre-approval and the $75 non refundable dog fee) to join the family at Sea la Vie. We do ask that dogs not be permitted on furniture, and if possible/reasonable kenneled while the humans are out of the home. Please clean up after Fido/Fifi when out in the fenced yard, too.

We provide starter supplies of toiletries, paper products, dish cleaning options, trash bag and coffee. Keep in mind that these are not necessarily intended to last your group the duration of your stay – but rather to get you started for that first night or two while you learn where your favorite shopping places are located. These are truly starter supplies. We also provide kitchen towels, bed sheets for each bed, and one hand, wash and bath towel for each guest that the property accommodates. For those who are wanting to stay longer – we can certainly arrange with our housekeeping contractors, for a fee, to perform interim cleaning or a linen swap during your stay.

Roaches!

Roaches all over the place. Two trash cans in the back yard that haven’t been dumped for some time stinking up the back yard with very overgrown grass and weeds with garbage left behind. Property management must never come to the house!

Amazing Getaway

Super Clean Simplicity

This is one of the cleanest places we have ever stayed. Not even a speck of dust. Peeiod charm. Comes with all the basic furnishings and kitchen essentials. Comfy tempurpedic-style beds. Fully fenced back yard for dogs and place to park behind fence. Had a few board games for entertainment. Management very responsive.
