Welcome to REST ASHORED where you can be as active as you please! Boat around Lake Shelbyville in the morning and return home to play a 9-hole round of golf on the Timberlake course in the afternoon. The boat launch is only a mile away so you won't need much leeway to make your tee time. Or to restock the cooler, for that matter. We had a great night here. We stayed after attending our grandson's 1st birthday party in Decatur. We and our other family from Chicago spent the night. Everything was very clean. The kitchen is fully stocked with plates, cups, utensils, bowls and even cooking tools should you need them. We loved the plastic children's cups and plates as well. I really appreciated the coffee, creamer and sugar provided!If you have your pet with you, there is a side by side food and water dish in the dining area for your furry companion.

Cute place, owner was very quick to respond when i made an error at booking. Easy check in, rooms as described, and well equipped including laundry soap which was handy to wash towels as needed. Needs a good spring cleaning (cobwebs & dusty lamp shades). Hide-a-bed in the living room was broken when we tried to pull it out for our teenaged son to use, thankfully we had an air mattress with us just in case. Our boys loved walking over to the golf course to play a round. Short drive to the lake for some quiet beach relaxing.

Perfect get away

The condo is nice and clean, and so close to the lake. The experience has been wonderful, and Stacey is great to work with. It backs right up to the golf course, a short walk to the campgrounds, and an easy trail to the lake.

Rented property for 04/05-04/08. We found out the place had not been cleaned from the previous renters. We contacted the manager, Stacey, and sent pictures. Stacey called and said it was her fault and she would have the cleaner come immediately but the cleaner lived about an hour away. She then put us on hold to talk to the cleaner. After being on hold for about 15 minutes Stacey came back on the call and said “there’s been a break in” with the most pathetic attempt for panic I’ve ever heard. Stacey said she would be calling the police and have them do a report. Stacey said someone has the door code and there’s nothing she can do about it and people break in frequently and “make themselves at home, but they never steal anything.” I asked Stacey what kind of people would break into a place then nicely pull the bed sheets off the edges like hotel cleaners do. There was some trash on the floor but it looked as if someone had stayed there, not been broken in. I told Stacey I was a police officer and I know what break ins look like and this is nothing like that. When I asked when the police officer would be arriving, Stacey then said she no longer was going to call the police. Stacey said she would buy us dinner. After about an hour the cleaner arrived. Long story short we could not cook the steaks and burgers we brought, as the grill had no propane and was very dirty with nothing to clean it with.
Trash on floor, cleaner was rushed and did not remove all of it.

Great for the lake

We had a great time staying here with family. It is in a great location making it easy to get the the lake and restaurants. Plenty of room to bring a boat too. Would recommend using Whitley creek boat launch if planning to stay there!

Could not have asked for a better place

Our family has had the good fortune to stay long-term in this condo and could not be happier. The owner and property manager have been absolutely wonderful to work with since the very beginning. They are both very easy to communicate with and respond to any questions quickly. I recommend this cozy getaway to anyone who wants to slow down and enjoy nature.
