A charming 1920s Arts & Crafts Farmhouse in the Catskills Mountains recently renovated and updated with modern amenities. Conveniently located in the hamlet of Boiceville, between Woodstock and Phoenicia. Get away to the great outdoors by hiking on several nearby trails. Walk or bike on the Ashokan Rail Trail along the Ashokan Reservoir.

This comfortable, luxurious, and charming retreat is just what you've been looking for. Featuring three spacious bedrooms furnished with queen-sized beds, and an open living, and dining room that invites comfortable gatherings. Large farm table and a separate conversation place with 'fireplace' and vintage chaise. A separate TV room with a pullout couch, a fully equipped kitchen with a center island, and all necessary amenities. Speedy internet and WIFI.

Enjoy gorgeous mountain views - especially during the Autumn "leaf peeping" season from the windows or front porch of Little Silver with plenty of room to relax and enjoy yourself! The firepit area in the back also offers great sunset views of the mountain while you wind down and relax from your day's adventures! Stargazers will be delighted year-round by the incredible offerings of the clear night skies.

Get your winter zen on with skiing and snowboarding at Belleayre Mountain or Hunter Mountain, just a 15-20 minute drive down scenic Rt. 28.

Swim or lounge at the landscaped pool in the summer months, only for use by the guesthouse residents. ( Please note: Our 2024 summer rental schedule for July and August is by the week, running from Saturday to Saturday starting June 29th.) Or book a monthly stay - inquire about a special rate.

The Little Silver Guesthouse is located at 'Pohlhenge' a private family estate in the charming hamlet of Boiceville, West of Woodstock. Five minutes away from the Ashokan Rail Trail and the Catskills Interpretive Center with many great hiking trails nearby. Woodstock offers fun shopping, art, dining, and great restaurants like Silvia, Good Night, Cuccina, The Pub, Dixon's, Yum Yum Noodles, Red Onion, and Santa Fe. Or try the closer Bread Alone Bakery, Woodstock Brewery, Phoenicia Diner, and Phoenicia's Brio's Sportsbar, or Phoenician Steakhouse.

Very cozy & clean space! I had the pleasure of staying here with a couple of friends. We felt right at home in the Cat Skills! I would highly recommend staying at this place, perfect for a weekend get a way!

Wonderful Ladies Trip

We had a wonderful time. The house was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the different sitting areas. Kitchen was nicely stocked with everything we needed for our short stay. Location was very convenient - close to Ashokan Reservoir, Bread Alone, and some of our fave restaurants in the area. Easy check in and great communication from our host. Thank you!

Wonderful stay

We all enjoyed very much Martin and Julie’s house. It is decorated with delightful details, it is very well curated, very clean and Martin has been lovely and so welcoming. Close to Woodstock and the ski resorts, it was an excellent choice, we will come back

We are Julie Rhinehart and Martin Pohl, owners of Pohlhenge our beautiful and bucolic family retreat and estate located in the Hamlet of Boiceville, NY. Lovingly named for the unusual stone wall lining the driveway to the main house. Pohlhenge is comprised of our 1920s Arts & Crafts home and our 1920s Guesthouse aka “Little Silver”, a Horse barn, Pump house, and a Pool, set on approximately 8 acres of land with open meadows, and woods bordering the Little Beaverkill Creek and across the road from the mountains.

Pohlhenge is more than just a family home and retreat, it’s also home to local wildlife like deer, bunnies, foxes and bears. There are beautiful birds in the warm months too including Hummingbirds!
We have recently completed our renovation of our Little Silver Guesthouse and are ready to receive our seasonal guests.
