About this property

Beautiful Waterfront Home on a Private Lake!

Come and Enjoy our piece of Paradise at Lake Shenanigans Inn. Where you can fish, kayak or just enjoy the beauty and serenity of the private lake. This lake is shared with only a few other homes in the area. We have a private dock and the lake is stocked with fish. No Fishing License is required. It is located about 1 hour and 15 minutes from Dallas airport. About 45 minutes East of Dallas. The house has an open floor plan with the master on one end of the house and three bedrooms on the other side of the house. Living room, Family room, and Dinning room. The master also has a small seating area that has a couch with a pull out, so you could have little ones sleep in your bedroom. One bedroom has a queen bed with a door into the second bathroom. The other two bedrooms have a bunkbed with a double bed and twin on the top. The kitchen has most of the items you would need. Dishes, utensils, pots and pans, toaster, and coffee maker. Comes stocked with paper towels and toilet paper. Feel free to use any spices and condiments that are there at the house, as they are what others have left to share with the next guest. Home is stocked with towels. Visit The Thirsty Lizard Bar, which is your private bar area that overlooks the lake with a blackstone electric flattop grill. Sit on the back deck and enjoy the sunsets over the lake, go swimming, take the kayaks, paddle board, paddle boat, or small row boat out on the water. Sit out by the water under the new gazebo where there are fans to create a breeze, lights for ambiance and power for radio or charging your phones. There are a few lifejackets available in different sizes. We are still working on this home, so get in before the price goes up! After we add more amenities and improvements to the house the price may go up! No work crews, trailers or equipment.

Perfect Lake House Escape

A group of friends and I just visited to celebrate our college graduation. We had the most fantastic experience! The lake water was absolutely gorgeous and we were able to swim and ride in the kayaks. The house was plenty spacious for our group of 12. We appreciated how big the common living rooms were, as we were all able to sit around and hang out together comfortably in one room. The next door neighbors were also super friendly and helpful whenever we had any questions about the house or the surrounding area. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to return!

Nice family Getaway

Host was nice and accommodating. Check in was later than we thought, but the host was nice enough to allow us to get there an hour early. That was nice! The home was nice, clean and comfortable! The neighbor was super nice, especially to my kids! It is a mobile home, which for us was a non issue, but I do think it should be stated somewhere in the description. (maybe I missed that) Overall a very nice stay!

Lake Shenanigans Review

The location and amenities were great. We absolutely loved the lake for swimming and fishing. Having kayaks and a rowboat made it entertaining for the teens to not be bored. The beds and living spaces were the perfect size for our group. There were some things that need to be remedied…the floors were not very clean in the restrooms or bedrooms. A fault not if the property owners we understand but it did freak us out a little bit that scorpions & mice were in the house. The kitchen also needs cookie sheets and steak knives. Other than that , we would recommend this property and would return in the future.

My family and I enjoyed this beautiful house so much, it was clean and a very livable home.

The house was so wonderful. My family and I enjoyed that the house wasn't in the city and the lake was so beautiful, especially with the sunsets we saw. Due to the fact the house is where it is my family got to experience Six Flags which was very enjoyable. The kayaks were very fun to play with in the lake and having life jackets there was so astonishing. The bar was so pleasing and everyone could tell how much work was put into it. Due to all the children in the house we couldn't be in the bar a whole lot but it was still such an amazing experience. The rooms were so pleasurable, especially the bunk beds for the kids. Overall, everyone enjoyed the house and all of its features. Thank you for the lovely get together. So many memories.

Great get away for fishing and paddling

House was well equipped for what we needed - Kid friendly, open area gave us time to spread out but also watch some movies, have dinner on the porch and at a nice table indoors. The lake was great - there were deep areas but also some shallows that kids had fun standing in and playing with each other. Kayaks were a hit and the row boat was very stable and an awesome way for getting the younger kids who needed more help fishing out to some of the drop offs and weed lines. Neighbors were helpful and kind and willing to give some fishing tips as well. There were some neighborhood dogs that my kids had fun petting. We caught a lot of fish off the dock as well as from the boat and kayaks. Kids did some exploring on what might be an island it water is higher and with the clear water they were excited to do some fishing where you could sometimes see the fish hit the lures.

It was spacious and more than enough room. The grass was high the day we checked in (a Sunday), but it was cut the next day on Monday. I was told no pets, but when we got there, there was dog hair on the couches. I agree with one of the other reviews that it should be disclosed that it is a mobile home. Overall, we had a good time, but will not go back. The worst part to us was that there is no easy way to get your things inside. Very long walk to the front door. Would have been easier if we had been allowed to pull up to the front door to unload.

Guys weekend

We stayed 3 nights at this listing. The pictures do not do it justice! It's a beautiful property inside and out. The house is very spacious, and the private lake is gorgeous. We caught several bass and perch. It was a very short ride to Lake Tawakoni, which was a huge plus. The owners respond quickly and the neighbors are very friendly. Highly recommend.

PERFECT LAKEHOUSE

We really enjoyed our stay. Renters were super friendly and accommodating. The house was roomy with an open floor plan. Everything was very clean and comfortable. Definitely will be booking again in the future.
