Dungeness Spit is one of the longest natural spits in the world. In addition to its own natural beauty, it is a great spot for bird watching. While you are staying at the Inn, be sure to check out Olympic Discovery Trail that is located just steps away from cabooses. The route spans around 135 miles between Port Townsend and La Push on the Pacific Coast. As of 2021, 90 miles of the trail have been developed into a complete path. Besides the rail cars, your kids will have a blast exploring the Olympic Game Farm, a drive-through wildlife exhibit, where animals come right up to your vehicle! The front area has a queen bed and is framed by a wall tapestry with a flat screen TV and french country decor. There is in room k-cup Keurig coffee maker and complimentary coffees. A compact kitchenette complete with a 2 burner stove, microwave, mini fridge and sink as well as pots and pans, dishes, utensils allows for a quick meal and no need to think of restaurants 3 times a day. The air conditioner keeps the place cool in the summer and warm and cozy in the winter. The center cupola is a perfect reflection/observation area with it's high backed conductor chairs and closets underneath them. In the back area there is a pedestal sink, shower and toilet room along with a two person whirlpool bathtub that is set below a mural of a lavender fields. This caboose embodies tiny house living at its best: it has all the necessities for a comfortable stay that are presented in a space saving way and result in a luxurious and private accommodation.
