Whispering Cottage is a charming cabin tucked away beneath the pines of the Summit Lake neighborhood. You’ll love the secluded feeling this cabin offers while still being close to everything in Big Bear. During boating season, take advantage of being only a 5-minute drive from Big Bear Marina. Once the snow begins to fall, Snow Summit Ski Resort is only 1 mile away! Leave the car at the house and walk to Ski Beach Park which provides a ton of fun activities for children during any season.

 Walking into Whispering Cottage you’ll notice the classic mountain feel this home provides with its wood paneling and wood furnishings. The vaulted ceilings make the home feel large and open while the enormous windows provide a warm and welcoming environment. Relax on a cold winter night in front of the stone fireplace as you kick up your feet on the large plush sectional. Enjoy all of your favorite shows and movies on the flatscreen T.V or gather the family around the coffee table for a board game. Plenty of cooking space is provided in the kitchen and a large oven is perfect for baking cookies. A Keurig is provided for you as well so you won’t have to miss out on your coffee in the morning.

When you're ready to settle down for the night, head upstairs where you’ll find all 3 bedrooms. The first bedroom is the master and has a large king-size bed. White beams gorgeously compliment wood vaulted ceilings and a futon sofa and armrest chair provide additional seating for your guests. You’ll love having your own private entrance to the front deck through a sliding glass door, the perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee. The attached master bathroom has a large wall mirror and walk-in shower with a built-in bench. Head down the hall to the second bedroom which includes a queen-size bed. A sizeable window sits next to the bed allowing plenty of natural light and stunning views of the surrounding trees. A sliding door opens up to a closet where you can store some of your belongings during your stay. The third bedroom has a full-size bed against beautifully crafted wood paneling. Another large mirrored closet can also be found in this room for additional storage space.  

Head out to the backyard where you’ll be greeted by crisp mountain air and towering pine trees. A fully fenced backyard provides peace of mind as you let your kids play and a propane barbecue is the perfect way to cook dinner and enjoy the flawless Big Bear weather.

City of Big Bear Lake "Good Neighbor Policy"

Do not exceed the occupancy limit
Do not exceed the stated occupancy at any time during your stay. The maximum number of adult  occupants may be less than the total maximum occupancy. NO PARTIES ALLOWED.

No parking in street or yard
Parking is only permitted in the driveway, designated parking spaces, and garage. This includes trailers. The maximum number of vehicles permitted is on the exterior sign.

No amplified music 24/7
Amplified music is not permitted to be heard beyond the property line 24/7. Close your windows to avoid music carrying beyond the property line.  

Head inside at 10:00 p.m.
Noisy outdoor activities and spa use are prohibited from 10:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.

Take trash to dumpster locations
Trash needs to be taken to a local dumpsite. Clean Bear locations:
41790 Garstin Drive & 39690 Big Bear Blvd.

Fines
The minimum fine for violating the rules stated previously is $500 per violation. A second offense is $1000 per violation.  

Eviction
Unruly guests who blatantly disregard the rules and expectations will be evicted without a refund. In  addition, costly citations may be issued to the undersigned.
