The house was very private yet within distance of many towns and hikes and restaurants. We explored Lyndonville, Derby, Newport, Willoughby Gap and Burke. It was always nice to come home to a quiet place with all the amenities we needed.
We enjoyed our two day stay. Secluded location, but easily accessible to nearby town and hiking areas. We had no problem connecting to the wifi. We used the fire pit both nights, and found the setting to be peaceful and relaxing. The fall foliage at the nearby lake and surrounding area were beautiful. Would definitely stay here again.
A bit further out from the Kingdom Trails than I thought it was. Beds were comfy. Never used Starlink system before. Works pretty well. Nice to have a washer and dryer for the mountain biking clothes. Cool firepit. Checked out the stream across the street (up the dirt road) to dip in. Worked for me.
Peaceful and relaxing getaway. I would return to this property.
There was plenty of room for 4 adults as it was myself, my husband and my two grown sons. There is even ample room for an air mattress in the living room area if needed. I was pleasantly surprised by the extras that were included, shampoo, soaps, detergent, paper towels etc. even a washer and dryer. I wish I had packed less! Just about everything was there that was needed and we found the floors and beds to be clean and comfortable. There were even dog bowls for those with furry friends. We were visiting friends so did not spend much time in the yard but the fire pit looked inviting for enjoying a quiet night outside. I would note that the wifi is very limited so if you needed to connect for work for example, it would be very challenging. My boys were not able to watch the tv for whatever reason but did enjoy a couple of the dvds that were provided. There were a couple of things that were reported to Chris that could be improved and he was always quick to respond and always pleasant. I would not hesitate to stay here again. Barton and it's surrounding towns are absolutely beautiful.
