Never again
We typically stay in the same place when visiting Maggie. Our home away from home wasn’t available and rather than push out our dates we took a chance here. I regret it more than one could ever know.
The pictures don’t show you just how old and dirty this house is. The carpets up stairs were filthy. The bathrooms were oddly shaped and old. It appeared that there were attempts to upgrade but they were not done well. Toilet paper holder in spare bathroom upstairs was falling off the wall. The windows were old and held no heat in the house. We had to keep the fireplace running to keep it warm. The master bath had zero room to move in as far as getting in and out of the shower. Forget about bathing 2 little ones in there. The stair case looks like it was falling apart and needs to be inspected to ensure it won’t. The ceiling in the bedroom downstairs was a whole issue. The tiles were yellow and the ceiling looked like it was falling apart. I was so disgusted and disappointed.
Off the kitchen, before you go down the stairs is a fan that practically took our heads up. One look over the railing to the downstairs, if you were not paying attention or forgot the fan was there, you’re getting seriously injured.
The hot tub was dirty.
The icing on the cake was the bat that was in the master bathroom. It’s always a joy to wake up at 3am with 4 children in the house to a Bat flying in your bathroom. We had to get a towel to attempt to catch it, which isn’t dangerous at all!!!!
