As expected, the tent was on a cool lake in a very remote spot. Unfortunately, the tent was definitely not the one pictured in the listing. The listing showed a round tent, and this one was a typical “house” style. It is quite windy on the lake, so be prepared to keep the tent closed up. The lake itself is hard to use, but it was a beautiful sunset. They had a bathroom trailer nearby but hauled it off at night, so we had to drive to some less than desirable accommodations up the hill. Overall, we had a unique experience, but we wouldn’t need a second night.
We all enjoyed our glamping experience at Sandy Beach. The hosts were very responsive and answered all my questions. My kids loved playing in the lake and sand and the favorite was the jet ski we rented for a couple of hours. Having a campfire with the lake and mountain scenery was another favorite. A very wonderful and memorable experience!
Went with some friends, amazing weather, easy campfire setup, paddle boarding. Was a great experience, Listing was everything it said it was. Super cute and not a busy lake. We will be back!
Great place to stay, easy to just park next to the tent and get set up. The floating dock was awesome to jump in the water and do some fishing too. It can get windy, sandy and pretty hot but you can just step in the tent and be comfortable with the water air system keep it cool. Bathrooms were clean and there are people in the property incase you need help, friendly hospitality.
Coming back for sure!!!
