When you stay at Lazy Bear Cove, Deep Creek Lake fun is at your fingertips! You will love being in the heart of it all at this dog-friendly retreat.

In the great room, you can unwind by a crackling fire while you enjoy a little TV time. This comfy space also offers scenic views of the lake and access to the deck.

Equipped with all the essentials, you can make your family's favorite foods in the kitchen and then gather at the dining table to share meals together.

There are two bedrooms and two bathrooms on the main level as well. Each bedroom is furnished with a queen bed and a TV.

Downstairs, the family room adds to your living space. Keep your snacks and drinks handy at the wet bar while you watch TV. Sliding doors open to the patio where you will find the bubbling hot tub. There are two more bedrooms on this level. One has two queen beds and the other one queen bed. Both are outfitted with TVs. There is a full bath on this floor as well.

Outside, the deck has beautiful sunrise views and plenty of space to kick back and relax.

Centrally located, you are within one mile (or less!) from boat rentals, restaurants, shops, the movie theater, and more.

Wisp Resort is only five miles from your doorstep. Offering year-round recreation, you can choose from activities that include skiing, golf, snow tubing, ziplines, disc golf, and more. Head to the top of the mountain for white water rafting adventures on the manmade river at the Adventure Sports Center.

During the summer months, Deep Creek Lake State Park is a favorite destination. Their sandy beach is perfect for swimming, and there are lots of spots to have a picnic lunch. The beach hut has kayak, canoe, and paddleboard rentals too.

Nature lovers and hiking enthusiasts will love exploring the many other Deep Creek area state parks. Swallow Falls State Park is a must for any trip to the lake. Trails wind through a pristine forest leading you to three stunning waterfalls.

For a leisurely day in town, visit historic Oakland. From antique shops and a record store to an old-fashioned soda fountain and multiple museums, it is the perfect way to enjoy an afternoon. During the summer, you will also find a wide variety of fresh produce at the Mountain Fresh Farmers Market.

We were very disappointed with this home especially for the amount of money we paid. There are several maintenance items that need to be fixed and/or updated. They even had a plastic bag taped over a window and exposed outside outlets and broken outdoor lights which are unacceptable. The plumbing is poor in the upstairs bath and the kitchen amenities are not great either. The view is very nice of the lake and the bedrooms were great with nice beds and TVs in each bedroom. We also felt the inside stairs were not great as the steps are very slick and shallow making it difficult to navigate.

Not Impressed

We rented in summer of 2022. We were attracted to the home because of its location, the hot tub and it was pet friendly. It has a pretty view of the lake but overall we were a bit disappointed. The house had 2 levels, the main floor and ground level. The ground level had some dead bugs laying around which was kind of a turnoff. The outside deck and many of the outside windows were spider-web laden with dead carcasses. Water pressure in upstairs bathroom was weak. One of the upstairs showers leaked which we reported. They quickly sent someone to fix it as it needed caulking but com'on. They had a nice big family room on ground level but the TV was small (used for the Xbox) and not cable-ready so we only had the big TV in upstairs family room, which was great, but our family of 6 would have been more comfortable watching downstairs where there was more room. With a little more cleaning and prep this could have been a nicer experience.
