The Toasted Marshmallow is a perfect staycation/vacation cottage, welcoming guests to stay on a 68 acre tree farm with 6 Nigerian dwarf goats, 5 sheep & three chubby dogs.

The farm was recently quoted by Vinton Soil Water Conservation as a wildlife mecca, perfect for anyone looking to reconnect with nature & relax. Various species of birds, hawks, owls, deer, wild turkeys, geese & occasional bobcat may be spotted.

Loved the remote location near the state parks. Nice long gravel drive out front, super quiet area. We loved having fhe dogs and other farm animals around. Firepit was nice, hottub worked great. Heat/AC both run very well inside. This space was the perfect size for the 2 of us and we will be back on our next trip to Hocking Hills.

Great stay after hiking

Nice little place, great hot tub and even supplied firewood for a bonfire! We got to see the goats and sheep as well as two dogs welcomed us when we sat by the bonfire at night.

Peaceful getaway

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay. The owners were friendly and gave us plenty of privacy. The kittens on the porch were an added bonus! Wonderful space and peaceful getaway within driving distance of good hiking.

Perfect spot after hiking

This was the perfect place to relax after a day of hiking. It was clean, comfortable, and romantic. We loved seeing the kittens, goats, dogs, and turkey. We watched a beautiful sunset from the private hot tub. We would definitely stay here again!

Cute little spot

Cutest little cabin, it was perfect for what it was booked for! We just went out to hocking hills for the weekend, and it was perfectly placed on our route to and from home. The brown and black dog welcomed us warmly and we enjoyed getting to pet them for awhile! We also met a cute black and orange kitty :)

Idyllic setting

Peace and quiet in the country. Not far from Lake Hope or Hocking Hills. Loved seeing the “kids” play in the barn yard. Freddy was a bonus !

Perfect getaway

We had a wonderful long weekend here. It was very clean and well appointed. Perfect for two people. The host was great at responding to any questions most times within minutes. The host was also great at respecting privacy, being out of sight out of mind. They let us know they were around and available if necessary…but otherwise not seen. And the animals…so fun and friendly. Dogs, cats and sheep…oh my!!! How fun to start the day giving crackers to the sheep! 10/10 would stay again

We had a lovely time here! It was a great little getaway. The farm is beautiful, and it was so much fun to visit with and see all the animals! The goats and sheep are so cute and friendly- but the doggies really made our stay special!! The cabin was perfect for a couples vacation. The host was also very kind and communicative. I would definitely stay here again next time we visit the Hocking Hills area. :)

This was an adorable, tiny cabin located in a peaceful area that was perfect for a weekend getaway! The dogs, cats, and goats were a bonus as well. The only area I did not give a 5/5 was the cleanliness, but even that was a minor thing. This was because they only gave us one full bath towel, so one of us had to use a hair towel for showers, and two towels had some stains on them. Additionally, there was no toilet paper holder, so you had to unroll the toilet paper manually; plus, the water at any time had the odor of "rotten eggs" from the well. Not sure if the well water odor can be fixed, but it would just be helpful to know about that possibility in the description. Otherwise, it was a great place and we would come again!

The hosts are so incredibly kind and very on top of things if you have issues. The place was perfect and we would definitely stay here again! The farm dogs are the sweetest (coming from someone who doesn’t like dogs all that much) and the whole atmosphere is amazing. It was nice to get out of the suburbs for a while and retreat back into nature! Perfect distance from Hocking Hills to beat the touristy places!

We stayed here for a weekend on my boyfriend’s birthday and it was absolutely perfect! Place was clean and check in was so easy. The dogs were the highlight of our stay!! Along with the hammock and hot tub. Would definitely stay here again!

So peaceful

My wife and I have had a trying time lately with family issues and we desperately needed a small getaway. This place was perfect for that. As we are animal lovers we were greeted by the cutest cats, the most friendliest dogs and goats a plenty! Once night came it was quiet and peaceful and you could see every star in the sky. Thank you all so much! This was exactly what we needed!
