Our guest suits are located on the second floor. Each feature a King size bed, private EN suite bath, private porch, and kitchenette.

The King Charles Suite
Our very spacious accommodations provide individual climate controls, ceiling fans, kitchenette, breakfast / workspace. We have super high-speed Wi-Fi 400 Mbps as well as wired internet connection via an Ethernet cable at the breakfast / workspace. The smart TVs are equipped with 4K Dolby Vision, UHD, free Netflix, and Prime Video included. TVs are also hard wired to the internet (No Buffering)

The King Bed
Your restful sleep begins with the Westin Heavenly Bed Experience. Enjoy 10 layers of pure comfort on your custom pillow top mattress. Layered with 100 % Egyptian cotton pressed sheets, plush pillows, and imported blankets from Portugal, of seasonal weight. Finished with a King Charles Matelassé Coverlet. Linens and towels cleaned with Arm & Hammer Free and Clear / Sensitive Skin no dyes or perfume.

Special Requests Encouraged.

Guests have access to the main porch, foyer, the gardens, and their own guest Suite with private porches.

Our stay at Richard’s has spoiled me for any other time I will stay at a short term rental. The property is magnificent and everything was thought of. I would return to this quaint town again just to enjoy the St Charles Inn.

When checking into The Charleston for your stay you will immediately notice the attention to detail that has gone into this property. As you enter the front porch you'll notice soft music playing. Then open the front door to a beautifully decorated hall and staircase to the suites on the second floor.We were in the King Charles Suite and couldn't have been more pleased. Open the door to luxury where every detail has been thought of. Hard wood floors, king sized bed with high end cotton sheets, comfortable mattress and two types of pillows for you to select from.The kitchenette was well appointed with coffee pot, tableware, glassware, silverware and coffee, tea, honey sweeteners and by far my favorite REAL half & half! Let's not forget a mini fridge and induction cook plate. A candy dish with Werther's caramels adorned the table for 2.On to the HUGE bathroom with a tiled walk-in shower and amenities like soap, shower gel, shampoo, conditioner & lotion. Many's the time we have had to leave our VRBO and search out a local store to buy bath soap because none was supplied. Not here, the owner has forgotten nothing including facial tissue. Just outside the bath in a closet you will find 2 terry cloth bath robes for your use while there.If all this luxury is not enough, open the door to your private balcony overlooking the gardens. It is so relaxing to sit in the chairs and sip your morning coffee to the sound of the fountain below. You will think you are at a high-end spa.

Fantastic week in Milton DE

We have stayed in many places around the world - from highway motels to high end hotels and resorts. The Charleston of Milton Inn is possibly the nicest, most comfortable and well appointed place we have ever stayed. Beautiful rooms, gardens and art work to view while here. Also a quick walk to downtown Milton shops and restaurants. Highly recommend!

Great Place to relax!

This was by far the best place that we have stayed! This was definitely a hidden gem, Milton is a nice little town, everyone was very friendly. Many restaurants within walking distance Richard was the best host! We are already planning to visit next summer.

Our Milton visit

We LOVE the Charleston of Milton Inn. It is beautiful and comfortable and Richard is a wonderful host! We have stayed here twice and both stays have been perfect! The suite is beautiful and the gardens are lovely. And Milton is a sweet little town with lots to do, and close to the beach.

The suite was beautiful and on a quiet street. Everything you could need. Milton is a quaint little walkable town away from the noise and crowds. Perfect for a quiet stay yet only a quick drive to beaches and shopping. Richard, the host, is welcoming and friendly. Will definitely come again. Highly recommended.

Calming Environment and a relaxing stay!

If you are looking for a beautiful place to stay that is off the beaten path and close to so many fun activities then look no further than The Charleston! My wife and I stayed here for the first time and it was amazing! The room was gorgeous and the ambiance was calming and gave you a good beach vibe. It was 30 minutes from many different beaches and within walking distance to ice cream and good food!!

Perfectly appointed Southern Charm

Attached to the owners' home, our suite was super comfortable, clean, spacious, and beautifully decorated with antiques and the owner's artwork. Situated walking-distance to the charming downtown of Milton which offers dining, antiquing, live theater, hiking trails, etc. this home offered us a very satisfying getaway.
