Disliked: Amenities, property conditions & facilities

For almost $250 per night I expected a room that was bigger than a good-sized closet, s bathroom larger than 2’X2’, with more than 1 ply toilet paper, a toilet seat that slid, a teeny bar of cracked soap, thin towels, an overhead light too dim for reading, a reading lamp bolted to the bureau near a hard wooden chair that one would have to be a pretzel to use for reading. In short, unconscionable to charge that much for such primitive accommodations. We bolted and got a room at IHG for $190 that was 3X the size with a bathroom that we could both brush our teeth in. This was to be a Romantic weekend away for us as a couple , having met in February and recovering from the deaths of our spouses. One good thing: it showed we could handle disappointment and distress, make a decision and act as a couple.
