I cannot say enough about this property. We had such a wonderful weekend. If you grew up in the south, this place will transport you back to overnight stays at your Grandparents house. So much character and charm! The beds are so comfy it will make it hard to want to get up. We spent most of our time in the sunroom sipping on coffee, tea and enjoying the immense amount of sunshine and light it has.Itâs so close to downtown activities and Dollywood too, a 22-25 minute drive to busier places and then back to tranquility. The grocery store is just a few minutes away!I could go on and on but you really need to check it out yourself.Last but certainly not least is the owners. Wonderful people that speak with you as if they are old friends. They are very quick to respond and extremely easy to deal with and you can tell they genuinely care about their home and your stay.Anyone looking for a relaxing no fuss and fluff place to stay and feels like a warm hug, should check out the Modern Farmhouse and Cottage. It exceeded any and all expectations we had. We will definitely be back.Thank you again to the owners!!!Ellie
The house was super cute and met all our expectations. The check in and out process was simple. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms were spacious. We had a great time and would definitely go back.
This propery has a very welcoming environment and a very rustic feel but modern enough to make you feel not far from home. Nathaniel is very responsive so if you need something he is very quick to answer. Very quiet neighborhood and country feel but not very far from everything either. Great place to relax. Beds are very comfortable too! We had a hard time waking up because we didn't want to get out of bed. Great stay! I would LOVE to stay here again!

Not an actual farm
Okay overall. However way too many doors in an out of property. Leaves feeling insecure at night
This place is amazing. This is like staying in a piece of history. The updates are perfectly matched with the historical aspects of the home. Beautifully done. Perfect distance to all the touristy stuff but far enough out to be nice and quiet. We will be back! If you ever want to sell, let us know! :)
We had an amazing time at the farmhouse. It was beautiful and the neighborhood was very nice. The beds were so comfy. The pictures were very accurate. My only suggestion would be some rugs for the bathrooms. Those floors are cold in the morning. Otherwise we really enjoyed our stay.
A lovely historic home with a nice touch of modernization feel. The rooms were very spacious with the most comfortable king size beds ever; barely made it bearable to get out of bed. The bedrooms upstairs full of rays of the sunshine for a nice warmth and cozy feel. I could definitely enjoy reading a book in bed.
The house has lots of beautiful characteristics and would definitely book again. Destinations we visited Gatlinburg, Great Smokey Mts., and restaurants were no longer than 10 or 15 minutes drives.
A dewy morning we enjoyed our scenery of a group of deers along the side of road in the field from the house. Snap a photo. Memorable vacation and stay!
Overall we enjoyed our visit to this historic home! We enjoyed wandering the house and trying to decipher when each section was added and how the Civil War bullet hole made it into an interior door. We wanted to know more about the history! Spent our mornings in the sunroom/part kitchen which was lovely. Bedrooms were all large with king beds which made everyone happy. A lot of thought went into the decor of this home. Something to note that we may have missed in the listing is that both bathrooms are downstairs so those staying in the bedrooms upstairs had to adjust for that. We took off a star because of the functionality of the kitchen for us. We did not plan to cook much but the fridge is in the sunroom and the range in the official kitchen is in the adjacent room. There is very limited counter and cabinet space so we ended up using a cabinet and surface in the dining room. But, those are the quirks of an old home! The hosts provided plenty of supplies too. Dish soap, sponges, washer detergent, shampoo, etc which was very generous. Another note which is mentioned on the listing is that there is a cottage that is also rented on property. The cottages porch is arms length away in the back of the house behind the kitchen. There was a renter and guests while we were there and it was not a problem but we did not realize the cottage was quite that close so just an FYI. Lastly it was about 20 min to Dollywood and 40 min to the Smoky Mountain National park which was great!
The house and area were nice. The only thing I didnât like was he has cameras on the front porch so the privacy of stepping out in the morning and having a cup of coffee wasnât appealing.
