About this property

Resort Cabin Near the Lake, 2 King Suites, 4 Twin Beds in Kids Loft

Looking to treat that special someone to a last-minute getaway? Meeting another couple that you have gone way to long without catching up? Or letting the cousins meet and play for the first time? We have you covered.

Only 30 minutes from Pigeon Forge and Dollywood, Ideal for a romantic getaway or for two families to split the cost of a getaway at the lake that is still close to all the major attractions yet tucked quietly away from the traffic.

Buck Wild has 2 King Bedrooms, 2 full baths, and the loft bedroom is set up with 2 twins and a 2-twin trundle bed.

The kitchen is very well stocked with cooking and baking essentials including an air fryer and crockpot to make dinner as easy as possible after a long day of fun!

There is a BBQ grill on the deck, it is gas but we don't monitor the level, however if it does need refilled there are 2 grocery stores about 15 minutes away and we will reimburse the cost to exchange it.

Buck Wild is a two story 1,368 sq ft log-built cabin with a full wrap around covered deck. You have access to the whole house so lots of room to spread out while enjoying your vacation. The deck has lots of seating and is such a great place to enjoy some morning coffee or evening wind down!

Douglas Lake Resort offers a resort boat dock that you would have access to if you are bringing your boat or rent from the marina on the other side of the lake for some tubing fun!

The boat dock is open to fish from as long as you have the required TN fishing license and your own gear.

The walking path is right across from the Cabin and winds through the woods down to the lake. It is about a 15 minutes' walk through the path and the quiet roads of the resort to the boat dock and pool.

Loved this Cabin!
We will definitely be back to stay at this awesome cabin! We had 4 kids & 4 adults. The beds were so comfy, everything was clean & layout of the house worked well for us. We put kids upstairs & couples down. Also really enjoyed the pool & playground at the resorts clubhouse. Close to Pigeon Forge, Sevierville, all the things.

Great Visit
The property was very clean and easy to access. The road to the house was a bit windy, but added to the charm of the mountain vacation we planned. It was a peaceful visit and very remote. Future guests will need to know that anything is about 30 minutes away, so be prepared to drive. Great amenities in the cabin. The upper loft was perfect for my kids! The loved the lofted area.

Excellent Location; Peaceful Cabin
The cabin had everything we needed (except a BBQ brush, but no big deal)! Has coffee pot, waffle maker, air fryer, all the pots and pans and utensils needed. Had a starter amount of dish soap, dishwasher detergent, laundry soap, etc. The beds were springy but still comfortable enough to get a good night's sleep. There were plenty of sitting space for everyone, inside and outside. During our stay, there were several crows nearby... which we loved watching and hearing (they weren't obnoxious... just slight caws). The location of the cabin is great. It's right across from the start of the hiking trail. The resort pool and dock is really nice as well. There were 5 of us (2 in 40s, 2 in 20s and a 10 year old). Our 10 year old son kept busy exploring the area. Our 23 year olds enjoyed walking around and fishing. It's conveniently located to the tourist locations, but tucked away enough in the mountains to get away from it all. The cabin owner is VERY responsive as well. We HIGHLY recommend staying here; we'll be back for sure!

We live in a small town in Wyoming near Yellowstone and enjoy all the outdoor sports and cowboy life with our two boys. We are in the energy industry and when not at work providing a better life for everyone, we are enjoying the outdoors and exploring new spaces!

Why they chose this property

The Buck Wild Cabin in Douglas Lake Resort is nestled perfectly in a quiet resort about 30 minutes from Pigeon Forge and Dollywood. This is the ideal place that is away of the hustle and bustle yet close enough for the day trips.

Being a 2 King, 2 Bath with the upstairs loft as an enclosed bedroom with 4 twin beds, this is the perfect place for 2 families to come visit and split the cost of the trip. Making this an economical fun experience for everyone to spread out and have access to an entire cabin. Makes traveling much nicer when you can pop in a load of laundry overnight to wash up those dirty jeans from playing hard all day or just being able to cook in if so desired.

What makes this property unique

-Share outdoor resort pool open from Memorial Day to Labor Day
-Boat dock you can use if brining your own boat
-Can fish from the dock as long as you meet TN fishing requirements and have your gear
-Great little walking path across from the cabin with cute little bridge (great for special moment or pictures)
-Beautiful trees for fall foliage
