Take in expansive views clear to Camels Hump whether you're enjoying a meal at the dining room table, relaxing in the living room, resting in any of the 4 bedrooms or sunning on our expansive deck, this home brings the outdoors in. Large cooks' kitchen with soapstone sink, granite counter tops, kitchen island with second sink, stainless steel appliances, and cupola add extra natural light. Main floor master bedroom has custom barn door, walk in closet, and master bath with his and her sinks and counter space. Two bedrooms upstairs with full bath for family or friends. Finished lower level has separate family room, additional bedroom, full laundry room with washer and dryer. Enjoy taking a break on the back deck and take full advantage of full range mountain views and amazing sunsets, well landscaped yard includes stone paths, stone steps, stone walls, shade and full sun gardens, established blue berry bushes, and swimming pond to cool off in when the temps rise. Located close to Rec trails, vast trails, Northfield, Norwich University, Montpelier and I 89.

***For Winter time stays, an All-Wheel or Four Wheel Drive vehicle is required when snow and ice are present, as the property is on an unpaved mountain road. The roads are plowed and maintained by the town and are safe to drive. Also during the spring thaw the roads can be quite muddy, so All Wheel/ Four Wheel is is recommended

This is a beautifully decorated, cozy, exceptionally well stocked home with incredible views. The hosts have made it a warm and welcoming place. The beds are very comfortable. They supply an abundance of high quality towels and linens. It is one of the very best vacation homes we have ever stayed in.

Wonderful Gathering Spot

This house is a beautiful location with enough room for a few couples, more than one family or a group of friends. We loved the house, the view, the quiet. It was a beautiful, well managed house. We would love to come stay again soon.

A bit of Vermont heaven.

From the moment we pulled in the driveway we knew it was perfect. Comfort, cleanliness, and style all wrapped up together. There was plenty of room for all. The kitchen had everything we needed.Watching the fog, from the deck, crawl from the mountain tops and disappear in the valleys was a treat. Tim was very friendly.

Great Stay

We had a great time during our stay in Vermont. We picked the house based on location and amenities. The amenities in the house exceeded our expectations. The view is fantastic. We are a multi-generational family who had plenty of space for the grandparents to enjoy as well as the grandchildren.

Beautiful relaxing vacation home

Our family had such a wonderful week! It was SO peaceful and relaxing which was just what we needed! Honestly it was probably one of our most relaxing vacations because the home and property were so beautiful that we could enjoy just doing nothing! Gorgeous Mountain Getaway!

A beautiful view of the mountains. Check-in was easy and Tim even called to welcome us. The house was very clean and kitchen was well stocked with everything you need. Plenty of room on the deck for just sitting around and playing games and enjoying time with friends. Great location for day trips around the state. I would stay there again in a minute when I am back in Vermont.

Vermont & East Coast Road Trip

The property was amazing. The furnishings and views from each room were breathtaking. Everything that anyone would need was available in the kitchen. It was the perfect place to wind down after a full day of scenic drives, shopping, sightseeing and activities. If we decide to return to Vermont, we will defiantly rebook. Maybe fly in from Texas next time! By the way, we had a chance to meet Timothy, and couldn't have met a nicer host.

Tremendous experience

You literally couldn’t rent a better property or from better people. Our jaw dropped when we pulled into the driveway…the house is adorable and the views are stunning! Tim met us to say hi, and was available to us throughout our stay via text. The house is perfectly described, and actually is better than the description. Comfortable, clean, homey, well-stocked. We are already planning a future visit and just am sorry we discovered this outstanding home after our daughter graduated!

The house is amazing, even better than the pictures. Has EVERYTHING you may need, is super well equipped. Is close to the ski centers and rentals so is perfect for a ski weekend. Tim and Jim are the best hosts, everything was ready, clean and we felt at home. They called us to welcome and were very attentive to our needs. You really felt like a hotel service but with the commodities of being at home. New clean towels, small shampoos, dressings on the cabinets, maple syrup. Honestly yo can’t ask for more. We had an amazing time and will definitely come back!!

Best VRBO Experience I've Ever Had

My family has booked over 20 VRBOs through the years across the country and this is by far the best property we have ever experienced. The home is delightful and true to the feeling of a "Vermont" home. The owners are extremely detailed with all aspects of service and quality. By far the cleaness home and kitchen we've been in. And the lighting in and ouside the home makes you feel calm and welcomed. The outdoor property is amazing and of course the view is unmatched. We had the fortune of meeting the owner as we were leaving and he is a genuine, down to earth person who truly enjoys making his visitors feel welcome. I highly recommend this property without an ounce of doubt!!

Our winter family vacation

Our stay was, by far, one of the best ever! The pictures did not even do this home justice. When my husband and I walked in, we were amazed. The rest of the family came a bit later and had the same reaction. The grandchildren could not wait to explore where they were sleeping and found plenty of space downstairs for "the 3 cousins" (6, 9 and 12) to have some private space to be together. We found the kitchen to be top notch with all the best appliances and the cupboards stocked "to the ninths". The family went to Sugarbush for one whole day of skiing and spent the rest of our 4 nights sledding and exploring the woods in the backyard, playing games and just enjoying each others company in ths fabulous home. Tim was so kind to reply to all our questions about geting to the property and what to expect when we arrived. Our family would definitely rent this property again next year.

Already planning our return

We spent a wonderful week here in August and are already thinking about when we can return! The house was very comfortable, spacious, and spotless. We love to cook and were amazed at the size of the kitchen (photos don’t do it justice) and how well equipped it was. There was every appliance you could ever need, a wide selection of pots and pans, and even a wine fridge. When we return, we won’t have to bring half our kitchen!! Even more impressive was the view from the back deck. We spent many hours sitting on the comfortable outdoor furniture taking in the beautiful scenery. Even though the weather wasn’t great, our experience was not at all dampened due to how relaxing the house was--the views were just as beautiful from just about every room. The house is on a gravel road great for walking and is about a 30 minute stroll into town. It is also conveniently located for day trips to explore northern Vermont. We loved visiting the farmers markets and local breweries. Our host Tim was very communicative and kind, making us feel very welcome in his home. Thank you again for a memorable week. We will be back!

A special Vermont oasis!

We have used VRBO over the years, but I don't believe I have ever felt this compelled to take the time to write a review....BUT........this vacation rental experience was SO incredibly positive from start to finish, that both the property AND the owners/management of the property DESERVE this 5 Star Review. Not only did everything match and exceed our expectations - from the website description and pictures - but Tim's (owner) welcoming and over the top hospitality was experienced every day......What I mean by this is that Tim has literally thought thru every item and amenity that a VRBO renter could ever demand - and so so much MORE....It's not too often that when you stay somewhere - either a VRBO or a hotel - that everything from the TV satellite to the ceiling lights/fans to the outdoor gas grill actually work exactly as they should and Tim has placed very simple common sense instructions in a dozen+ spots around the house to make actual living in this house easy and VERY comfortable from the moment we walked in. Having grown up the first 22 years of my life in rural Vermont, it was important to be able to bring my young family back "home" and show them all the wonderful sites/sounds/memories from my childhood all over the state. The Northfield location is perfectly located in Central Vermont and we were able to touch EVERY part of the state from North to South on day trips each of the 7 days we spent there. I could go on and on about the incredible views/sunsets/deck/fire pit/etc, but the one item I would highlight to end this review is the little pond at the bottom of the property. While it looks like a simple little pond from the top of the property, it is actually a phenomenal and DEEP water swimming hole that we used each and every day of our stay! The only downside of this stay was that it went by much too quickly and I fear that Tim may have set my expectations for other future VRBO rentals way out of reach! 😂 Doug D.
