About this property

Forest Home in quiet cul-de-sac

Wingate Forest is an owner-occupied home with three bedrooms and two private living spaces which are separate from the very large kitchen. Wingate Forest features a cottage on a separate footprint from the main home. I am available to offer, optionally, my services as a professional host during your visit, if requested.

I do not c0-occupy the primary home at Wingate Forest during any time while I am hosting guests. I either move to a separate second structure on the property or travel to Seattle to stay at my daughter's penthouse in Seattle's South Lake Union area.

I have lived at Wingate Forest since 2000 and have striven to make Wingate Forest a very special home. The trees on this property include, but are not limited to, four Giant Sequoia Redwood, three Leyland Cypress, one Deodar Cedar, two Western Hemlock, two Japanese Snowbell, two Arbor Vita, three Azalea. The lawn areas are expansive enough to host large outdoor events.

The entryway is an extended entrance hall providing access to the library / parlor, to the kitchen and to the bedroom suites. A formal dining room features a 19th century Flemish dining suite; table for six, and serving buffets. The library offers an expansive collection of leather bound classics. The Sun Room has a Guatemalan inspiration, a vaulted ceiling with skylights, a natural gas fireplace, a daybed, 65" TV and PS5 game console. The media room and the master suite offer access to a partially sheltered patio, a Weber natural gas grill, a large forested lawn and several old growth trees.

The kitchen features a dining area seating six. Appliances include a DeLonghi coffee machine (beans only) , Frigidaire induction range/stove, LG refrigerator, Miele dishwasher, Corian countertops and Pantry. Optional: Meals and cocktails can be prepared for your group if requested.

Bedrooms feature dimmable overhead lighting. The Linden Bedroom is 16' x 12' and offers sconces, trundle sofa, infant's crib (upon request) and walk-in closet. The Lauren Bedroom is 12' x 12' and offers a recliner, access to the jetted spa, shower and toilet. The Larsen Master Suite offers sconces, a recliner, TV, wardrobe area and access to the jetted spa.

This was a great house with plenty of room. We stayed here during a national track meet and everyone had a place to sleep, room to spread out, and a fully stocked kitchen! Gene responded to all questions quickly and was accommodating to our schedule. We would definitely stay here again.

This home is absolutely fantastic. Gene was very communicative and kind throughout the process. The neighborhood is very nice and quiet, but the home is the highlight. It is equipped with almost anything you need, and is a comfortable environment to be in. The yard is massive and private. Would stay again.

We didn’t have long to stay - just basically slept there due to being so busy with campus move in. House was nice and big - great coffee machines and lots of coffee provided. Owners made fresh iced tea for us as well. Products in bathrooms were plentiful. Beds great!

Track Meet at Hayward

We stayed at this house for one night. The house was very clean and comfortable. The house was very well stocked with anything you would need and would easily accommodate a large group. We were in town for a track and field event at Hayward field. We met the owners who were very nice and answered any questions that we had. I really appreciated the quick response to the questions we had. I would definitely consider n staying at this property again in the future.

Personal and Profession--Balanced!

A nice place with everything you need, in a nice and very quiet neighborhood, which is close to everything. Gene (Eugene) is great. First, he's very very responsive. So responsive and flexibile that he allowed us to check in 2-3 hours early! Then, he helped me turn on the natural gas grill, so my family and I (5 of us) could eat steaks and fixings before the Ducks vs. UW game. Oh and by the way, he drove us to the game and picked us up. And while we were at the game having a blast, he played with our dog and made sure our dog played nice with his dog. What can I say? Check it out. Nice place. Quiet area. And Gene makes the difference. Terrific!
