The FW is located in a small, quiet village in the Ore Mountains, very close to the forest. With hikes in the beautiful surroundings you forget the stress of everyday life pretty quickly.
Cycling in summer, cross-country skiing in winter has something to do with active holidays. But you can also let your mind wander, sit in the green, read a book or explore the surrounding recommendations below to quickly forget about workloads.
In the evening at the grill, the day comes to a worthy end.

In approx. 10 - 15 km distance you can recommend the following:
- Bad-Schlema with the "Actinon" radon bath and a museum about the uranium mining of the former SDAG bismuth
- the city of Schneeberg with the Wolfgangskirche, a museum and ore carvings
- You have to see Schwarzenberg with its castle and a beautiful old town
- Johanngeorgenstadt with the largest candle arch, the largest pyramid and a trip to the Czech Republic is recommended
- Oberwiesenthal with the Fichtelberg (1214 m above sea level) is approx. 60 km away and is not only a must for winter sports enthusiasts,
- In Zwickau (approx. 25 km) you can easily go shopping, eating, visiting museums and strolling,
- Dresden, with a day trip (approx. 140 km) will also leave many impressions
