The views were immaculate. The location was close to main attractions. The cabin was very spacious and had plenty of room fir everyone. It actually snowed while we were there and that made the experience even more memorable.
It was a peaceful and fun trip! Close to activities and attractions! Our family really enjoy our cabin and had everything we needed! Thank you for sharing your wonderful home with us! :)
Property was very clean, accurate description of cabin, owners were easy to work with
Great experience! Would recommend to anyone. Community pool was clean, well kept, and had a nice small restaurant with good food / refreshments at reasonable price.
Loved the views and the location! We had a great time with our family and would absolutely stay here again. A few things to know if you are wanting to cook in… The grill is small and looks like the kind you find in a camp ground so beware if you are trying to grill more than two steaks at a time. Also there is not a single wine glass in the house so bring your own if you like wine:))) Lastly the skillets are in bad shape so maybe bring those also if you want to make eggs etc. They do have a really nice plug in skillet which helps for cooking bacon in the mornings. Other than the cooking challenges, which we will prepare for next time, we really enjoyed the home and will be back!

Thank you, Shannon! We've done some restocking in the kitchen - the pans and wine glasses have been replaced :)
Amazing Cabin! Super clean and spacious! We got the full nature Experience seeing the bears! The view is so beautiful and you can enjoy it while sitting in the hot tub! Very short drive to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg for shopping.
We stayed 5 days in September on Higher Calling and had a wonderful time with the family. The views are amazing and the house was very comfortable for our family. There were a couple concerns and the owners were quick to respond. We were lucky and had a passing by visit of a mama bear and her cub a few times. Great time had by all!

Thank you, Sharon! We're glad you all had a great time at the cabin!
We had an amazing time. This cabin was gorgeous, clean and amazing views. We had no issues while we were there. We started at the end of Feb to the 3rd of March. Everything was perfect! The only issues we has was the people staying in the cabin up from us across the street. They were a loud bunch of guys. That was up until about 2am most of our stay. When they left it was like magic and perfect and quite. The lady up from this cabin is really nice. This is a cabin to make memories in. The views are amazing! You really can't go wrong with this cabin. The owners were absolutely amazing! You can't go wrong with this cabin. You will fall in love with the veiws.
Our family of 7, grandparents and grandkids stayed here for 6 days. The upstairs is PERFECT for kids and teens to hang out, while the adults relax on the main floor. We enjoyed using both the front and back decks. The kitchen had everything you need.
We have stayed in 5 cabins in the past while visiting the area, this cabin had that view that you want to look at while you drink your coffee in the morning.
Checkin/check out was easy. We had 5 teenage girls and never ran out of hot water. The beds were comfy and the house stayed cool even with the sun coming in.
All the lights worked outside, which is a first for us. Most cabins forget about the outside lights, this cabin didn’t.
The cabins in the area are well spaced out for privacy.
Thank you for letting us stay at your beautiful cabin!

Thank you, Danny! We're so glad you all had such an enjoyable stay!
YMMVThis is my experienceThe Bad:2hrs before check-in was informed that property was out of running water, and they had requested a fill up no ETA on when. Requested an ETA at check in, no responseRequestd an ETA 2hrs later, no responseCalled owner cell 3hrs later, no responseTexted owner cell, no responseVRBO tried contacting owner, no responseSo for 2-3 hours on 4th of July weekend we were unsure if we could continue staying at the property, Since the area was fully booked VRBO recommended to wait 1 more hour and then find alternate arrangements Luckily the water tanker arrived at 7:30pm, all the while our group of 10 could not use restrooms or get unpacked after an 8hr journey!!BTW, no message from the host still, I messaged instead them updating the situationThis stressful uncertainty did sour the start of the holiday weekend for me and my family :(The Good:Property is as advised, good location and amenitiesIs showing signs of usage but no issuesThe area has steep roads but that leads to great views from the balcony. While grilling food outside we were visited by a Mama bear and her 4 cubs who came right up to the door.....so scary but memorable event :) There seems to be bears in the area so be vigilant if cooking outside, i was alerted by their grunt and slowly backed off in the houseP.S.- The pool is 7min. Downhill drive from the house so not exactly close

We're glad you all enjoyed the property and that the water delivery arrived just in time! The well pump has been altered a bit so the occasional limited water issue has been resolved. Regarding your stay, we did mention that the water delivery team does not provide delivery times, but gives general time estimates. In addition, we suggest using the VRBO app during your next stay so that host responses do not get lost in your email inbox.
The cabin was absolutely beautiful! The listing was accurate. I advise you to buy groceries before you ascend up the mountain because you may not want to come back down immediately. My husband and I were on vacation with our 5 children and some of their spouses (for a total of 10 people and our small dog). It was spacious, clean, and met our expectations. The road up the mountain to the cabin was NOT for the faint of heart though! I would imagine that if the roads were snowy or icy you would have to have 4WD. But, the views from the cabin were breathtaking!
We awoke to no water on the day of my daughters wedding. Property owner response was sorry no one will be there until Monday “ check hotels to get ready” we had 15 people to get ready . No offer of a refund for that day. Could not flush toilets take showers cook etc. UNACCEPTABLE
This property is so relaxing. Glorious Mountain views. Spacious enough for our entire family including our dog. The owners were so nice and reply very quickly to messages. If you are lucky as we were you may even get a glimpse of a bear or two. I do highly recommend this property for a wonderful peaceful vacation.
Wonderful house. Magnificent view. Not quite halfway between Townsend and Pigeon Forge. Very easy access to the park and hiking without having to go through the busy entrance at Gatlinburg. The house had plenty of room, five bedrooms, 3-1/2 baths! We went grocery shopping at Kroger and Publix and made all our meals for the week except for one dinner at Boss Hogg's BBQ. Beginning of June was way too busy in Pigeon Forge, waits for restaurants were hour or more. We also have a couple of family members that have to eat Gluten Free, so between that and having our dogs with us it was just so much simpler for me to just cook at the house.
We saw two bears! One on the first night crossing the street next to the house and a big male walked up the street in front of the house Thursday night.
I cooked burgers, sausages, grilled chicken and BBQ chicken using the camp grill out front. Not used to a small charcoal grill, but managed, now just being picky really. But hard for me to imagine how I would keep a larger grill, especially having to deal with a local bear population without having a place to lock it away. Also imagine that maintaining a gas or pellet grill in a rental situation would be problematic.
Only thing I could have used that wasn't on site was a can opener! Kitchen had more than enough pots, pans, dishes and utensils otherwise. We made do with a multi-tool we brought along, strange enough most VRBO houses we have stayed in don't have one.
Thanks Chelsea and Dan, stay was enjoyable. And thanks again for quick responses when we messaged you!
We are just two high school sweethearts with an avid passion for travel and adventure. The view from Mt. Le Conte in the Smokies is where we originally fell in love with hiking. In our 10 years together, we've meandered trails along fjords in Norway, sandy beach cliffs in Croatia, icy lakes in Poland, the gushing river in the Narrows of Zion - and a lot in between.
Why they chose this property
Our cabin is a product of these loves of ours – a launch pad to adventure, cozy in the snow, rest after the summit, and catalyst for making memories.
