The Loft at Pine Knoll Farm Kentucky is a unique horse farm stay located above our beautiful horse barn in the heart of horse country. We have prime views of the farm which is located in the center of the Bourbon Trail. 5 min to great restaurants in Midway! The Loft is 15 mins to The Kentucky Horse Park, 25 mins to Keenland, and Ark is 50 mins. Stabling/turnout available. We offer horse experiences/workshops/clinics through Kentucky Horse Experiences. Sister Trip

My sisters and I had a wonderful time at "The Loft" The farm itself and surrounding area were so lovely. Gillian was very accommodating to us with check in and check out, prompt with her responses to my questions. Perfect setting and close to Keeneland (we saw unplanned horse races!) and went to the Kentucky Horse Park in nearby Lexington.

The ponies aren’t the only thing that are peaceful!

We had a wonderful stay at the loft! The home was beautiful and their farm is a little slice of heaven. Close to all things horse related and the adorable town of Midway which needs at minimum a coffee stop! Gillian worked with our group to have a very memorable experience at their barn with the Peace Ponies. Our 8 year olds have definitely made a core memory with their time here! Hope to be back!

Beautiful Horse Farm

My father and I stayed for a week to explore the surrounding area. The location was accessible and served as a nice quiet getaway. The property is gated and the owners are onsite in case you have any considerations (as I sometimes do) traveling as a single female. It was a fun and unique thing to do to stay above a horse stable!

This listing is unique ! It was lovely residing above the most beautiful horses and ponies! Rob the farm manager was kind enough to let us see the horses every time he was in the barn feeding and cleaning. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped for everything you want to cook up for meals! A definite return destination!

Hidden Gem!! Beautiful property and amazing experience

WE loved staying at The Loft at Pine Knoll Farm. Every part of our stay was so enjoyable, the location is so lovely and peaceful. The interior of the Loft was right out of House Beautiful, we planned a horse lovers girls getaway and this did not disappoint. The location is so close to the Kentucky Horse Park, Old Friends Thoroughbred Retirement Farm, Picturesque towns of Midway and Versailles but tucked away along the rolling hills of Georgetown. It was so quiet and relaxing and the accommodations had every everything we needed with a well equipped kitchen and comfortable lovely sleeping arrangements. The front porch was so inviting and we loved being greeted by the resident cat as she leisurely kept watch over the property. Gillian welcomed us an gave us a lovely tour of the property and the newly added Pony Point accommodations and the conference area that she hold educational programs. We cant wait to visit again and join her for one of her programs or just to enjoy the area.

Exquisite Former Hayloft Checks All the Boxes

The Loft was the most exquisite vacation home I have stayed in. A former hayloft, lovingly transformed through brilliant repurposing of original timbers, beams, wood, metal sheets, and hardware. The decor is rustic yet classic, with a beautiful blue color scheme throughout. Everything is brand new and the kitchen is fully stocked with plentiful dishes, glasses, flatware, pots, pans, etc. The stacked washer dryer was a real treat, as was the enormous upstairs bathtub. There wasn't a single detail missed, a single amenity not included (there was even coffee and sugar!). Gillian has truly thought of everything one might need. The Loft has a huge porch for viewing the beautiful countryside and petting barn cats. Underneath are horse stalls with occasional whinnies. We saw our first fireflies and feel like we soaked up Kentucky horse country to the brim. We know we will return for a longer stay. This is heaven on earth.

We had an amazing stay at The Loft while in town for a horse show at KHP. My daughter and I were so happy to come home to this relaxing and comfortable place after being outside during many hot days of competition. The Loft is decorated in such a fun and elegant fashion, with very comfortable beds and amazing bathrooms. The kitchen is gorgeous and stocked with everything you need to feel at home. The front porch and surrounding grounds are lovely for relaxing and watching beautiful sunsets. The barn and many beautiful horses, ponies and cats are the icing on the cake. What a positive and uplifting experience to stay here - we'll be back! Thank you very much to Gillian, Rob and the marvelous group who keep the property in fabulous shape!

So Beautiful

This might be one of my favorite VRBO stays ever. Gillian has an eye for decorating and this place is just adorable. Our family of 5 was very comfortable here. My kids loved seeing the kitties everyday and got to meet all the ponies and horses. The property is beautiful and Rob the barn hand is so nice and knowledgeable. The front porch was amazing for morning or evening dinner and drinks. The location was central to all things we wanted to do in the area. I highly recommend The Loft for anyone wanting a fun and unique place to stay while visiting Kentucky!

Luxurious Barn and Property

We enjoy nature so this was the perfect place for us. 30 acres of pristine land and fairly newly created units with all amenities. Very clean and only an initial slight aroma of horses from the barn. Super comfortable. Plan to visit again. Loved the close town of Midway and restaurants. The property manager, Rob, was most welcoming and helpful. We got to enjoy duck eggs for breakfast!

LOVE this property, visited first time on a girls trip and wanted my husband to visit this time. We were in town for the Rocky Mountain National Championships and it is so convenient to the Horse Park and surrounding activities. Loft above the horses!!’

My daughter and I stayed at the loft while my daughter participated at the Kentucky horse park. We stayed for a total of four weeks. The loft was very convenient, very clean and the property owner, extremely hospitable and informative. All of her employees, especially Rob, were super friendly!! My Horses even joined us on our stay for the last two nights. Would definitely stay here again.

One of a kind!

What a wonderful stay at the loft!! The loft was beautiful and perfectly decorated! Had anything we needed and was well stocked! The property is beautiful. The owner, staff, and cats were all friendly. The horses are beautiful and fun to watch as well. Definitely a neat experience sleeping above a working barn! Would definitely recommend. If we are ever back this was we would stay again!

Amazing, relaxing and will Repeat.

When we arrived it was everything and more from the pictures. This is the most relaxing and beautiful place you will see. The horses are below you and absolutely stunning. The peace ponies are so adorable. We stayed for a week. What a great location. We were centrally located for distilleries, shopping in small quant towns, great dining, we did horseback riding at Whispering Woods trail riding, great spot. And we made great Memories. Can’t wait to return. Thank You Gillian for your hospitality and sharing your piece of paradise with us.

Wonderful location!

We took a trip to KY for the first time as a family to see the area. The loft was the perfect spot to see all the local attractions. We horseback rode, visited retired race horses, shopped and ate in local towns, and took a trip to Lexington. Everything was super close and convenient. The loft itself was nicely set up for a family of four. Everything was clean and lovely. The two sweet cats kept us company when we were home and the horses and property made for a very cool experience. It was a great introduction to the area!

Beautiful and relaxing

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the loft at Pine Knoll Farm. Such peaceful surroundings. Amenities were great and decor was beautiful. Really appreciated the well-stocked ice machine! It was a little scary driving the approaching road at night - so I advise guests to arrive during the day. Once you know the road, it's fine. Also, a member of our group has allergies to cats...and we had 2 beautiful kitties join us on our deck every day. A little Zyrtek took care of that, but just a word to the wise. Barns and cats go together for sure! And it's probably time to replace the queen bed for something a little less bouncy - to make it more comfy for 2 people. Still, I would highly recommend and would return!!

Derby Experience

We stay at The Loft while we in town for The 150th Derby. We are so glad we did! The location is an hour away from Louisville, but that allowed us to stop at distillaries on the way. We would have missed these had we stayed closer. The farmland and the farm are absolutely beautiiful, and we were so happy we chose The Loft. It was also very quiet. An added surprise- we were greeted by two friendly barn cats!
