Located a mile away from the the capitol, you can travel to places in DC from here by the metro (10 min.walk to Noma U), by a 10-min. Uber ride, or even by the Citybike (on the next block!). Free street parking is available with prearrangement. You will find yourself in a cozy residential neighborhood walking to Whole foods and Trader Joes and enjoying food at the hippest restaurants (Union Market).
This place was recently fully renovated by a local architect. It keeps its vintage charm of historical DC townhomes with its original exposed brick wall and with the Saint Charles vintage metal cabinets. It also has a contemporary finish to it, with big white moldings and fresh walls and floor.
This place is a 600-sqft. English basement apartment with four windows and two glass doors and the ceiling is high above the doors. It does not have an internal staircase that lead upstairs and have private entries. You will self check-in with smart keypads with a personalized code.
The studio works best for a solo traveler, two adults, or a couple with children. It has a queen bed and a sofa that converts between a twin and full bed. Please let us know if you would like an additional air mattress.
You can enjoy cooking in the fully equipped kitchen with a food disposal, stainless steel gas stove, stainless steel tub dishwasher, refrigerator, and a microwave.
The furniture is laid out to separate areas in the home to serve you with different functions in our home.
The office in the nook works great for those who enjoys working or has to work when travelling.
The living area has a sofa futon with a large top lift coffee table, where you can watch a 55inch-TV with access to streaming apps. The industrial style book case divides the living area with a Queen sized bed. The bed area comes with a wardrobe. The bathroom has a rainfall shower with new tiles.
The dining area with a banquette seats 4 people and can be used to serve family meals. Next to it is a coffee station where you could enjoy coffee and Tea. Then there are front-load Washer and Dryer if you would like to do some laundry.
The temperature and humidity is meticulously monitored with two separate central ceiling heating & air conditioning system which is unusual for a studio.
Please note that since the place has residents upstairs you may hear some standard house noises like furnace kicking.
Guest access
The English basement is a totally separate space from upstairs. Guests would enjoy the entire studio themselves.
Other things to note
If would like to park your car on the street, DC Visitor street parking passes should be printed out and then displayed on your dashboard . You can reserve and print out the pass online via ParkDC with a resident code. If you are planning to bring a car, please let us know when you make a reservation so that we could provide you the code.
