It’s time to relax at this country charmer! Tucked away at the end of a private lane, with secluded backyard, hot tub & outdoor wood-fired pizza oven. We also have a year round firepit, & private walking trail,(20 min.) F'ton is 18 min. away with shops/rest. Mactaquac Prov. Park is 5 min. away with walking trails, & winter activities. Ski at Crabbe Mtn, 30 min. away. Kings Landing is close by too, then come back to a warm fire and toast some marshmallows, or relax in the hot tub! Plus-bring your furry family too! We can accommodate up to 6 guests, 3 bedroom/4 beds, with 2 full bathrooms. Half way between ON/QC to PEI/NS.
Please note~ we have added a plug~in generator, that we will hook up for you during power outages, we do have to access the basement.
We have added 1 outdoor camera to the detached garage, aiming towards the driveway and laneway. This is mostly for security during the weekdays, when we have less bookings, and cannot see that side of the house from our house next door.

Load and start the dishwasher
Gather used towels
Remove personal items
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
Put soiled towels in the bathtub
Clean up spills as they happen in the fridge/counters so there’s no staining
We don’t mind a few things left in the fridge, just not a leftover turkey dinner! 🙂
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Please pick up after your pet, no excessive barking. Dogs cannot be left alone unless crated, and not for long periods of time.
Absolutely no smoking of any kind inside the house, or right outside of doors. Pick up butts. Narcotics of any kind will not be tolerated .
Hot tub rules must be followed, fouling of water during your stay will incur extra charges. Water is professionally tested every few days.

A group of us booked this place for Christmas. This hostess goes above and beyond for her clients and it shows in a hundred little ways like the fresh flowers, chocolates, Christmas decorations "emergency kits" that include toothbrush, toothpaste and a ton of other things you may have forgotten. She also is very attentive should you need anything without being over-bearing or "in your face". Would definitely recommend this cabin and this hostess to everyone and look forward to going back there at another time!

King’s Hideway - Fun Time/ Family Time

It is a charming location, tucked away on the outskirts of Fredericton. We were so lucky to have found a place so suitable to our needs.The home is well appointed with everything one could ask for in order to have a relaxing weekend getaway.We enjoyed the pizza oven and our hosts even had S’mores fixings ready to go. Each room had that extra touch to make our stay special, from fresh spring flowers to information about local restaurants, and other activities. We will definitely book again.

Wonderful time away

We were a group of 6 and we all enjoyed every moment we were at the King’s Hideaway. From the beautiful home to the welcoming backyard with the wonderful hot tub, fire pit and pizza oven ( yes we used them all lol) we all left feeling it was time well spent and relaxed. The hosts were great and we could not have asked for better. Thank you to them for all you did to make our stay the talk of our summer We hope to return again

Beautiful little Gem 💎

This property is beautiful, clean and quiet. Beautifully decorated. We were 4 adults and had plenty of space. Beautiful getaway

We had an amazing time relaxing in the yard after having our thanksgiving dinner. We loved the privacy and quiet natural setting. The host provided more than we expected. There was a full kitchen and plenty of space throughout. The rooms were each uniquely designed and comfortable. It was perfect for our family to spend time together. Even better then expected.

The home looked comfortable and homey from the pictures on-line, but the house was more charming and interesting then I expected. The host added some nice touches like fresh flowers, a well stocked coffee bar and even the ingredients for s’mores. We will definitely be back.

Cozy, clean and quiet

Had a great weekend stay in a cozy older home that was uniquely decorated with antiques and repurposed items. The house was at the end of lane so therefore no busy traffic. There were lots of small grocery items in stock so you really only needed to bring main items which was really helpful. The beds were comfy and it was a treat to soak in the old bathtub. Thanks for making it so inviting!! We hope to return!!

Our family of 5 really enjoyed our stay here. Carolyn was quick to reply to our messages leading into and during our stay (usually within minutes). The place was equipped with everything you'd need and then some! We enjoyed playing the outdoor games, relaxing in the clean hot tub, and having the extras on hand like cooking spices and even little portions of syrup (that I had forgotten to bring). Loved the decor and the fresh flowers displayed before our arrival throughout. Centrally located for golfing at Mactaquac, playing at the Quillis Waterpark and mini golfing at Hartt Island within 10 ish minutes, we did all of these things. We took our dog for a walk on the trail that was only steps away from the property. Unfortunately we couldn't enjoy the firepit due to the burn ban but we did enjoy the smore supplies left for us, prepared in the oven! Would definitely recommend for families or a weekend getaway with friends.

The kings hideaway was so much more than we expected! All the small details, from the coffee station upstairs to the beautiful antiques and pictures/art on the walls was incredible! Carolyn left us yummy bread and jelly for our first breakfast and had other food items available. She was very responsive to messages when we had questions. We walked the trails and relaxed by the fire pit. My children loved their room with lights above the beds. Our week stay was incredible! We hope to make our stay a yearly tradition!

We had a fantastic stay at The King's Hideaway! Check in was easy and the house was exactly as described if not cuter. The house was spotless. The kitchen was fully stocked with utensils and dining ware. Each bedroom had its own unique feel but all were warm and welcoming with cozy beds. Ample towels were provided for both the bathrooms and the hot tub. The hot tub itself was well maintained and the perfect way to end each day. The backyard was a relaxing, private oasis, surrounded by the woods, with plenty of sitting. I enjoyed beginning each day in the backyard with a coffee and listening to the birds. (If you are a birder, you are going to love getting to know the local birds.) The coffee nook with a large selection of coffee and hot chocolate was a special and much appreciated touch. And finally, Carolyn was a pleasure with which to communicate, readily available if we had any questions. We look forward to returning!

My husband and I had the chance to purchase the home he grew up in, and have renovated it and added my hair salon, which is closed during your stay. The rest of the home has recently been opened to accommodate guests, and we love hosting! We have 2 dogs and 2 cats, and love travelling to small towns, to go antiquing, and we also both drag race our 2 muscle cars.

Why they chose this property

A lot of guests come and stay, and barely leave the property, it’s relaxing,and quiet,and they can enjoy the backyard and firepit, something your not allowed to do in the city.
It’s also close to Mactaquac Prov. Park, less than 5 min away. It offers hiking,public beach,and marina, golfing.In winter, they offer rentals on snowshoes,cross country skis, and reasonable rental on fat bikes, forest skate, also have a great sliding hill! Crabbe Mt. Is 30 min. away for great skiing in winter months. Snowmobile trails are seconds away from the house too.
The capital city of Fredericton is apx. 13min to up town shopping, and restaurants. Downtown is just a bit futher, don’t miss the Saturday market, and it’s ideal to just do a walk about,lots of neat shops and restaurants,and breweries.

What makes this property unique

We offer a relaxed, comfortable home, where you can unwind as soon as you enter. It’s been renovated to compliment, not hide that it’s an older home, with reclaimed materials, and have added them in unexpected places! Look up! Some of the ceilings are quite unique! This is not a cookie-cutter, IKEA type Airbnb, we hope you like it as much as we do, squeaky stairs, and all!
