We got here on friday afternoon got checked right in. The cabin is so nice, clean and spacious perfect for our anniversary weekend. We are talking about coming back with our kids next time. Hiked through the woods and it wa sa beautiful walk. Hughly recommend.
We had a wonderful stay on a wonderful property for our first trip as a family of 3 with our one year old! We would highly recommend this resort and cabin and would visit again any day! It was warm, cozy, and the staff were above and beyond friendly and accommodating
Our cabin was clean, downstair beds were comfy. Upstair bed was too firm for us. Bathrooms were large. Huge tubs. Only draw back was pool closed to eatly and no jacuzzi. Also restauranthad burned down in Januarybut they are rebuilding. Dirt road to cabins was rough but it is april and has been a rough winter so i am sure they will fix once weather is better. Very nice place. Suggestions, add kurieg makers and somto cook on besides microwave. Loved our 2 dnight stay. Very friendly.

My family is a big fan of glamping. It was one of our best cabin site compare to the similar size I have been. Very clean, new kitchen equipments, and bathrooms. It is a little smaller size than I thought but a two big rooms
We had an amazing time! 2 out of 4 of our party were never there and were so impressed! Will definitely return! Thank you for providing this property for us to enjoy!
Very nice and quiet spot. The cabin was large and comfortable. The bed was comfortable and had everything we needed for a quiet weekend. We did not take the time to check out the pool but the tree top restaurant was nice. We hope to come back and stay again.
This Coolfont cabin was the perfect weekend home for our family of four (and our dog). Friendly staff at the lodge welcomed us with giant smiles and answered all our of questions. The cabin was cozy and warm with ample space. Large, clean bathrooms. Especially loved the wood stove. We enjoyed the hiking and biking trails nearby, as well as the on-site restaurant, on-site pool and brew pub just across the street. Will definitely be back!

It's a resort, folks
Great for folks who want to eat at restaurants all the time, not so hot for those who want peace, quiet, and a kitchen. That said, we had a wonderful stay: clean, quiet (with the exception of a motorbike set of neighbors), and just a short drive to the springs. Also craft beer & BBQ joint is tucked away across the street. We most likely will be back.
We were looking for a remote-feeling, yet not so distant location from Berkeley Springs and Coolfont delivered! The a-frame cabin in the woods was a great escape. Large bathrooms, comfy furniture, and big windows made the place great. Wished there was a bit bigger fridge space, but as we were only there for a few days, it was fine. Enjoyed hanging up our hammock in the trees outside and enjoying naps. Restaurant was great as well with stellar service.
Check in was easy , finding the cabin could have been easier( I’m simple )
Entire cabin was very clean, property needs some cleaning up and “ old “ cabins needs to be redone to make the area nicer. The pool was freezing , sauna or hot tub wasn’t working for public. The best part was the wood burning fire place and the quietness
Overall stay was good. Only problems I had were a fireplace was not in the cabin. Also, the wood that was provided for the outside fire pit was completely wet and unusable.
Hot tub and sauna are out of order and there is a horrifically loud fan in the dimly-lit pool area making relaxation impossible. The locker room and shower facilities were shabby with standing water and mildew; hot water available in only one shower. Needs serious renovation. ALL the machines in the fitness room were broken down. No one on site at the fitness/pool center.
Check in was great super nice gentleman. They were very accommodating getting us blankets. Would have been nice to have a stove. Check out was not as pleasant. I asked the staff if we needed to do anything in particular since we didn’t know staying in a cabin if the rules were different than a hotel. The lady was kinda rude and really didn’t answer the question. We like to follow the rules but didn’t know what to do. Also the treadmill were broken as a runner that how I start the day on the treadmill so that was disappointing.
The place was really cute and I’d definitely say it was worth it. That said, there were a few off putting things.
The biggest issue I had was with the safety of the cabins (it was just two females staying in the cabin). There are two entrances: a sliding glass door and a side entry door. The sliding door was relatively easy to secure so it couldn’t be broken open but the side entry door was just a very simple interior door lock. No deadbolt, chain, entry code, nothing. There was also a slightly damp smell in the cabin.
Overall it was a cute place to stay and we will think about coming back in the summertime!

This property was quiet and tucked away. It did not have a stove which was disappointing. You had no Wi-Fi or telephone in the cabin to order from the restaurant. You had to go in person for a Togo order. They have a nice deletion of beer on tap but you couldn’t get a growler to go. It would have been nice to take it Togo.
This town is not for anyone mixed or non-white. Be informed; there is a castle in town where white nationalists gather. Be informed before you book in this area.
The cabin smelled of mildew and the AC was not the best.
Overall it was a relaxing weekend which we were looking for.
First I’d like to say the cabin is cute. The location is close to town. The cabin was clean and looks to have been recently remodeled.
Now the bad. The cabin was not as advertised and the listing was dishonest. The cabin was listed on Vrbo as having a fireplace. In the photos of the cabin listing there is a wood burning stove. Unfortunately there was no fireplace or wood stove. We were very disappointed. I was not notified until checking-in that the cabin has no internet service. This was not in the listing which I feel is deceptive. The cabins are in a small village of A-frames jammed in against each other. Our fire pit was between our cabin and our neighbor’s cabin and sat 5ft from the edge of the other cabin’s roof/wall. A dangerous fire hazard. Drafty windows made the cabin quite cold. There were not enough blankets for us to use so we had to pull blankets off the second bed to stay warm. The amenities are bare bones—no toaster, tiny coffee maker, no kitchen towels, no glasses! The Sofa in the living room is old and worn out you’re basically sitting on a wood frame. We had to use bed pillows to sit comfortably. The entire operation seems like a ploy to force you into the lodge for their pay-to-play options. The host provided poor communication. I had to spend 40min chatting with Vrbo to get check-in instructions before we could leave for our trip. The experience was poor. We will not be staying at Coolfont Lodge again. and Resort again.
