About this property

Location location location, it doesn't get better than our lodge, 1.5 miles from Sierra At Tahoe and ON 170 foot of River frontage for summer fun!! You will be amazed when you walk into the large Great room and Chef's kitchen stocked with ALL amenities. Nuspresso Machine, K-cup coffee maker, 40 inch professional stove, new appliances in 2021!! The cabin was NEW built at the end of 2021 and has only recently been offered for rent! This new lodge replaced our old cabin that we rented for many years with phenomenal reviews! The Covered Patio is fabulous for listening to the the water flow by while you cook on the Professional Jenn Air gas barbecue OR the Treager pellet smoker/barbeque in the (non-winter time). Enjoy you master bedroom with the cozy Gas fireplace or take a hot jacuzzi bath in the master bath! Ski, fish, hike, boat at the local lakes, drive the short drive to the casinos, cook in or go out to dinner in South Lake Tahoe at Hells Kitchen inside Harveys Lake Tahoe Casino (it is excellent, we recommend reservations in advance) ! Exterior Security Cameras and Smart Encode Front door lock for easy check in. NO SMOKING INSIDE OR OUT ON THE PROPERTY! We are pet (dog) friendly on acceptance. If you have SNOWMOBILES, its a great place to go out right from the cabin, or snowshoe, cross country ski or even walk up to the West Bowl lift at Sierra At Tahoe (for a little adventure, it's not that far up the hill...catch the lift if you have season passes). The Caldor fire did go thru our area and fortunately our cabin was saved, however, the trees on the other side of the river burned (you can see in some of the photos). But the river is still beautiful and our property and surrounding is mostly Green.

We truly have 4 seasons and depending on the year, we can have snow into June and the river can be quite high. Most of the year, the river is pretty gentle, but Always watch children.

Beautiful Cabin

This cabin was beautiful, and was perfect for our needs. My wife and I took our 3 grandchildren my mom along with my brother and his family. There was plenty of room with a large family room, kitchen and dining area. The kitchen was fully stocked, and had everything we needed. We thoroughly enjoyed the covered deck and the property was large and a great place for the kids to explore. The river is right in the backyard and is very calm which was great for the kids. Barbi was very quick to respond to any questions we had. We would all highly recommend staying here, we are already talking about staying here again sometime in the winter.

Great place!

We had a large family group ages 8 - 70+. Everyone had a great time and enjoyed their stay. Owner was super helpful through the whole process.

Wonderful Cabin in the snow

Had a great time staying at the cabin (which is really a 5 bedroom house). Snow was pretty deep so we couldn't manage the walk from the backyard to the west bowl chair lift, but it was only a 5 minute drive to Sierra at Tahoe. Kids enjoyed sledding and playing in the snow, when we weren't on the slopes. Lots of firewood available also to warm up our boots and gloves on the fireplace.

Winter wonderland

The cabin was super clean and very well maintained. Barbi was always trying to communicate and help us. Its was a lot of snow. Kids had so much fun playing and sledding on a little hill by the house. The weather got us a little bit so be prepared if you are going during winter storms. High ways to South Lake Tahoe were flooded but we made it there safe and we had no power at the cabin for a little bit. So look at the weather and be prepared. Cabin itself is wonderful. You will love it like we did.

Mike and Barbi have owned this property for almost 16 years. Our old cabin that we rented for most of our ownership was taken down and an all New cabin was built and finished in 2021. We are happy to share our Family Home with guests that will take care of our "baby" like we would.

Professionally Mike and Barbi own and operate Boyle Ranch in Ione Ca and Barbi is also a Real Estate Agent selling properties and managing the family rentals.

Why they chose this property

We fell in love with this area almost 20+ years ago when we purchased Bryant Creek Forest Service cabin #36. We loved the ability to hike and snowmobile right out the cabin door. After about 5 years, we were able to buy this current property that had an original cabin built in 1945. Our old cabin was damaged from the HUGE amount of snow that we get up here and so a new one was built. Due to the Caldor fire in the summer of 2021, the fire swept thru our area, but our cabin and the other 5 on our street where saved!!! Our property is in great shape, however, the forest across the river was burned....it is still beautiful and grass and greenery are starting to grow up around.

What makes this property unique

We are so close to Sierra At Tahoe, you can actually walk up the back to the West Bowl lift and ski if you have a pass. The peace and quiet in our back yard is amazing but we are just a short walk away from Highway 50 and short 15-20 min. drive to South Lake Tahoe. Our Kitchen....if you like to cook, you'lll LOVE it!! And if you like the SNOW, we get ALOT of snow. YOU WILL NEED 4 WHEEL DRIVE IN THE WINTER AND A HIGH WHEEL BASE!
