About this property
Little Landing Cottage | Lakefront · Dock · Kayaks
Summary:
Lakefront cottage with private dock, kayaks, paddleboards, full kitchen, washer/dryer, A/C, and fire pit. Perfect for couples or small families. Enjoy lake views, outdoor dining, and walkable access to a marina and restaurant. Pet-friendly with a $195 fee. Sleeps up to 4 in a cozy upstairs loft with two queen beds. Year-round getaway for boating, fishing, paddling, or relaxing by the water.
The Space:
Step into a cozy lakeside hideaway where comfort meets classic Maine charm. Little Landing Cottage is a two-story property designed to make you feel right at home from the moment you arrive. With views of Cobbossee Lake greeting you through the windows, you’ll settle into a space that feels peaceful, thoughtful, and full of character.
The open-concept layout welcomes you with a sunlit living area featuring a couch and two comfy chairs — perfect for relaxing after a day on the water. Just behind, a full kitchen is stocked with everything you need to prepare meals, including a Keurig plumbed directly to the water line so you’ll never run out of water for your morning brew. A farmhouse-style dining table offers a great place for meals, games, or just good conversation.
Off the kitchen is a full bathroom with a bathtub/shower combo, plush towels, and even a washer and dryer to make extended stays easy. Around the corner, a narrow staircase leads to the upstairs loft — an intimate A-frame space with two queen-size beds, a nightstand, and a bench by the window overlooking the lake. While the loft is cozy and low-ceilinged (especially at the sides), most guests find it charming and perfect for a restful night.
To keep things comfortable year-round, the cottage is equipped with both monitor heating and mini-split units on each floor for heating and cooling. Whether you’re visiting for summer lake days, a fall foliage getaway, or winter ice fishing, the space is ready to welcome you.
Just outside, a large deck with a gas grill and seating area leads down to your own private lakefront lawn. Enjoy direct access to Cobbossee Lake with a personal dock for swimming, fishing, or launching kayaks and canoes. Spend your evenings by the firepit, listening to the loons and taking in the calm beauty of this quiet cove.
Guest Access:
Guests have full access to everything the property offers, including the private deck, gas grill, lakeside lawn, and personal dock. Enjoy the complimentary kayaks, canoe, paddle boards, and life jackets provided for your use during your stay.
Whether you’re casting a line from the dock, paddling across the cove, or enjoying a lakeside bonfire at the fire pit, the space is yours to relax and explore. During the winter months, guests are also welcome to snowmobile or ice skate right from the shoreline when conditions allow.
There’s even a marina within walking distance where you can rent your favorite boat or jet ski — and dock it right in front of the cottage for the full lakefront experience.
The Neighborhood:
Little Landing Cottage feels tucked away in its own peaceful world, but you’re just a short drive from some of central Maine’s most charming spots. Downtown Hallowell offers a lively, artsy atmosphere with live music venues, riverfront restaurants, and antique shops.
In Augusta, Maine’s capital, you’ll find cozy cafés, local boutiques, walking trails along the Kennebec River, and convenient amenities.
When you’re ready for a bit of adventure or a night out, it’s all just minutes away — then it’s back to your lakeside retreat for quiet nights under the stars.
Getting Around:
The cottage sits right on the cove of Cobbossee Lake with a public boat launch just minutes away and private docking on-site.
Within walking distance, you’ll find a marina with baked goods, sandwiches, and essentials, plus the White Duck Restaurant and Pub.
The cottage is easily accessible by car and offers parking on-site for your convenience.
Other Things to Note:
There’s a $195 pet fee per stay. Pets are welcome, but please let us know in advance. We ask that pets stay off the furniture and that guests clean up after them inside and out. The public boat landing is just minutes away, and you can dock right in front of the cottage.
A nearby marina offers boat and jet ski rentals, a bakery, convenience items, and the White Duck Restaurant & Pub, all within walking distance. Year-round activities include boating, swimming, paddle boarding, snowmobiling, and ice fishing right from the property.
Interaction with Guests:
We’re always just a message or call away. Our goal is for you to have the perfect stay, and we’ll check in periodically to ensure everything is going just right and that you have everything you need.

About the host
Hosted by Feras Alkurabi
I grew up in the heart of the city, surrounded by buildings, traffic, and a constant buzz of activity. Nature wasn’t part of my everyday life — it was something distant, something I only saw in postcards or movies. It wasn’t until much later that I truly discovered the peace, simplicity, and grounding beauty of the natural world. That discovery changed everything.
Hosting became my way of sharing that experience with others — to give people a chance to slow down, reconnect with the outdoors, and savor quiet moments they don’t get enough of in their daily lives. I now manage a collection of unique lakefront properties throughout Maine, and every one of them is designed with thoughtfulness, comfort, and charm. Whether it’s waking up to the sound of loons, soaking in a private hot tub under the stars, or simply enjoying coffee by the water, I want each guest to leave feeling more rested, more inspired, and more connected — to nature, to each other, and even to themselves.
This work is deeply personal to me. I pour my heart into every property and every guest experience. From the layout and design to the small details that make a stay memorable, I want people to feel cared for and at home. For me, hosting is about creating spaces where guests feel welcome, appreciated, and surrounded by beauty. It’s about giving others the kind of escape I never knew I needed — until I found it for myself.

Why they chose this property
Cobbosseecontee Lake is one of Maine’s true hidden gems — a long, winding lake known for its quiet coves, peaceful mornings, and some of the best bass fishing in the Northeast. We chose this neighborhood because it offers the full lakefront experience: direct water access, calm natural beauty, and just enough nearby convenience to make your stay effortless.
Our properties sit right on the shore, with private docks, clear views of the water, and ideal spots for swimming, kayaking, or simply relaxing with a good book and a breeze. The lake has a unique rhythm — active but never busy, tranquil but never dull. It’s perfect for families, couples, or anyone looking to unplug and soak in the slower pace of Maine lake life.
What makes this neighborhood truly special is its location. You’re just minutes from downtown Winthrop and a short drive to both Augusta and beautiful Hallowell — a small, artistic riverside town full of galleries, live music, and incredible food. Guests can enjoy a peaceful lakeside morning, then head out for an afternoon of exploring, dining, or shopping before returning to the stillness of the water.
We chose Cobbosseecontee because it has heart. It’s the kind of place that welcomes you in, offers space to breathe, and keeps calling you back.
