The Silliman House - A spectacular property that has just been entirely renovated, featuring vintage wood and beams from over 100 yrs ago. Style, comfort, technology, - nothing was overlooked when renovating this home. You will have more than enough space to relax, inside and out. The large living and dining room with a handmade farmhouse table, comfy couch, love seat and recliners, 65' ROKU TV, whole house Bluetooth speaker system, and tasteful décor will make it hard for you to leave. The coffee station in the kitchen will be perfect to get your morning started - enjoy a cup of coffee on the front or back porch - neither will disappoint.

Bedrooms are spacious and well-appointed, perfect for whatever combination of guests you will be bringing along. Your hosts have taken extreme care in the renovation and decoration process. From the moment you walk, you will understand what makes The Silliman House such a unique gem!

The rear deck is an oasis all on its own, with comfy outdoor furniture, a gas firepit for chilly nights and NEW in the fall of '23....a 55" SmartTV outside on the rear deck to catch and game while enjoying the fresh Upstate New York air!

Approximately 15 minutes to Cooperstown or Oneonta, The Silliman House is in a prime location for whatever it is that brings you to this great area. Colleges, baseball, breweries, art, theater - the Cooperstown area has so much to offer. The Silliman House was new to the rental market in 2022 and already has hosted many very happy guests!

NO pets allowed, including service animals, due to hosts' severe allergies.

Wonderful Stay!

Beautiful home and property for our stay while our son played at Cooperstown. Very clean and has everything you will need for your visit. My family enjoyed the game room downstairs and watching deer from the deck. Would highly recommend for families coming to the Cooperstown area!

One of the very best short term rental properties we have ever stayed at

This property is so nicely done. The owners have such a good attention to detail. Notable features we appreciated were the amazing coffee bar, incredibly comfortable beds, large TVs, remodeled great room, outdoor fireplace, and fun game room downstairs. Location is also perfect. Close to Cooperstown and has a picture perfect lake nearby. This is one of the very best short term rental properties we have ever stayed in and we 100% recommend staying here!

Perfect home for our week at CDP

We had a wonderful stay at the Silliman House and would highly recommend it to anyone staying in the area. It was the perfect place to come home to each night while our son played at the Cooperstown Dream Park, which was a short, scenic 15 minute drive away. The house was beautifully renovated, clean, comfortable, and had absolutely everything we needed. We enjoyed Goodyear Lake, just around the corner, as well as the foosball table, air hockey, and arcade games at the house (the kids even got to be the first players on the new system in the kids’ bedroom!). The coffee bar was wonderful and we appreciated the to-go cups for early morning ball games! Phil and Kelly were the perfect hosts; welcoming and hospitable right from the start of our trip and had great communication throughout. If our younger sons are able to play at Cooperstown Dream Park in the future, we will be sure to book the Sillimon House again!!

Amazing Home away from Home

The Silliman House was amazing from beginning to end. The comfort and amenities offered fulfilled all our needs and then some. Philip and Kelley were amazing hosts. They checked in on us regularly and were available any time of day to address any concerns and also offered insider suggestion for day activities and food options. They genuinely cared for our family’s experience at Cooperstown and we are looking for to the next time we can stay!

Wonderful Stay in a Beautiful Home!

We had the pleasure of spending a wonderful week at the Silliman House in July 2024. The home is beautiful and looks just like the pictures. The hosts are amazing and very responsive to any questions or concerns. The amenities for kids are amazing, from the game room in the basement to plenty of games in the bunk room. They really thought of everything in the home, even providing to-go coffee cups and skewers to roast marshmallows over the fire pit! The home is very centrally located, being a quick 15 minute drive to Dreams Park and a 10 minute drive to Oneonta. We highly recommend this home to future visitors to the area!

Perfectly appointed home in the country.

The Silliman House is a terrific place to stay in the Cooperstown area. The house is well appointed and has virtually every amenity you could ask for. And honestly, if there was something you needed that the house didn't have, hosts Phil and Kelly would take care of it. The house feels brand new and a lot of thought and effort has gone into making the space as warm and welcoming as possible. Phil and Kelly are fully committed to taking care of their guests and it show in every detail. Looking forward to a return trip!

Perfect for Cooperstown ASV

We had a great week at the Silliman House! Kelly and Phil met us at the house to check in, at 9pm! Gave us all the info we needed. All of the extra touches in the house were appreciated. Light switches and remotes all labeled to know what controlled what. Wireless charging stands on all of the nightstands. And a lovely welcome basket including a custom travel coffee mug! Would highly recommend to anyone going to Cooperstown ASV or Dreams Park!

A stay we won't soon forget!

Absolutely first class property and hosts. My family (wife, 15 year old daughter and in-laws) were in town for a tournament at Dreams Park for our son. To say this was the best VRBO property we've ever stayed at wouldn't be doing it justice. Phil and Kelly have thought of everything when it comes to making your stay as enjoyable and comfortable as possible. From the integrated sound system allowing you to fill the property with your favorite tunes to the arcade like experience on the lower level keeping the kids (and adults) entertained, the house provides everything you would ever want or need for your stay. Place is immaculate and if we ever travel back to Cooperstown, the Silliman house is where we'll be staying! Thank you, Phil and Kelly. You two are the best!

Perfect Cooperstown Stay!

The Silliman House was perfect! Phil and Kelly were great hosts and their home was more than accommodating. The spacious living room allowed all 7 of us to relax comfortably. The cleanliness and modern upgrades made the stay even better. There was no need for us to pull out our numerous phone chargers as they provided those in just about every room. The property is beautiful, peaceful and well maintained. We even had deer visit us while outside enjoying the fire and eating s’mores. Bonus was the laundry room in the basement and play room that the kids enjoyed playing foosball, air hockey and arcade games. The area allows for a beautiful drive to Cooperstown Dreams Park. We were very happy with stay and could not have thanked Phil and Kelly more for their quick response time and checking in to make sure our stay was pleasant.

Amazing!

This was our first time incoming to All Star Village and staying at the Silliman House. Kelly and Phil were amazing hosts! The house is unbelievably clean and has everything you can need. Even things I did not think of to bring were provided in the house. We would give this house 10 stars if we could! We are coming back for my younger son next year and this will be the ONLY place we will stay! Highly recommend!

Pure Perfection!

If I could give this review 10 stars, I would! If you are looking for a clean, warm, and inviting space to really make Cooperstown the best trip ever, rent this house! The owners were so responsive and have literally thought of everything to make this house perfect! We knew our boys were going to have the best week of their life playing at Dreamspark, and this beautiful house helped the moms have ours! We couldn’t have asked for anything more!

We had a wonderful experience staying at this rental house during our son’s 12U Cooperstown trip. The home was exceptionally clean, beautifully organized, and had everything we could have possibly needed—and then some! The Sillman Experience

When we arrived, power was out due to heavy snow on powerlines. The hosts Kelly and Phill Scrambled to Get the house on a generator, which was absolutely sufficient enough to make us comfortable. Everything in the house worked beautifully as it should and we enjoyed our stay to the fullest with great communication from the house.

Perfect Cooperstown Baseball Family Home

We had an amazing experience staying here. Perfect place to come back from ASV (short drive) and recharge in between games and unwind after games. Everything is super clean, organized, stocked and cozy and inviting. The hosts are super on top of everything and welcoming. Beautiful deck and backyard to BBQ and 5 minute walk to Goodyear Lake siblings to swim or fish. There’s also a fun game room too for kids and Dads to hangout. 5 minutes away from post office, grocery stores & gas stations. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful place with us!
