About this property

Urban Hub, Alberta Arts (ADA)

This lovely ground floor condo is close to everything great about the Alberta Arts district. It is located at the amazing culinary corner of 30th Ave and Killingsworth St. We have award winning eateries, fabulous coffee shops, Art galleries, yoga studio, and public transit right outside our door. Come stay a while, you'll love it.

Fantastic Location!
The corner of 30th and Killingsworth is home to award-winning culinary restaurants like Ripe Cooperative, Yakuza, Yui, Expatriate. Across the street sits Dame, a wine bar and fabulous French eatery, and Gabianno's is fine Italian dining. Start your mornings with a cup of coffee from Nicos (1/2 a block away) or jaunt across Killingsworth for coffee at Extracto and a lovely pastry at Flour Market NE.

Alberta Street-
There is a glorious group of art galleries at 30th and Alberta where you can watch artists work their magic with clay and have a hand-made card designed just for you. The Alberta Rose Theater and Kennedy School are blocks away if you want to take in a show. If you’re tired of eating out, New Seasons Market is three short blocks away. We're also two blocks from the vibrant Alberta Street.

Get around Conveniently-
We are steps to public transportation and two blocks to Alberta Street. If the mood strikes, grab an orange Biketown bike or cruise the neighborhood on an electric scooter. Uber, Lyft, and Trimet are always ready for you to hitch a ride.

Parking-
In Portland, those with disability parking receive special consideration. Vehicles can park at any metered space that is 1 hour or more for free and stay as long as you need. You must have Wheelchair User or Wounded Warrior placard (Wounded Warrior placard look like the standard Disability placard, but have a black bar under the expiration date with the "Oregon Wounded Warrior" in white text). We have one space in front of our home with a dedicated disabled parking space and half a block away at 30th and Emerson are at least three other 1 hour parking spaces that are frequently available. If the restaurants are at maximum capacity you may need to park around the corner on Emerson or 31st Ave. There is always free street parking, you may just have to travel a block to get to it.

Great Shopping-
Many people love taking the opportunity to shop in Portland as we have no sales tax. Alberta street boasts many lovely boutiques, art galleries, and eateries, and we're right down the street from the Alberta Rose Theater. We are also 10 minutes from the airport and Cascade Station, an outdoor mall with many big box stores such as Target, Ikea, Banana Republic, DSW and many more. Portland is also home to Nike, Adidas, Danner, and Columbia.

Book for slightly longer-
As a result of having no sales tax, Portland has high short term occupancy taxes. Any booking you make of 30 days or less will be hit for the full STR tax amount so I recommend booking for 31 days even if you aren't intending to stay the entire time. The amount you save in taxes can value hundreds of dollars so save yourself a chunk and book for a day or two more.

Additional Rules-
All guests are responsible for following Rexall Condominium’s Rules. We include these rules with every booking and booking is considered confirmation that all guests have read and will follow these rules.

Mid-Stay Cleaning-
If you are interested we offer a weekly or bi-weekly cleaning service while staying with us. The cost for this is $80 and we can either send a request via Vemno, Paypal, Zelle, or another pre-arranged method. There is also a Roomba available upon request.

Pets-
We do accept cats, check in with us about specifics and please bring a scratching post!

We have a ductless heating and cooling system and all our guest’s can be comfortable in the summer or winter.

For those traveling for work we’re a straight shot to downtown, and about three miles to both Emanuel, Randall’s, and Providence Hospitals. If you’re working from home we have cable internet that’s perfect for video calls.

A perfect introduction to Portland
After spending six months traveling the country and looking for a place to settle down, my wife and I settled on Portland. This property and it's hosts are a huge reason why. Great neighborhood, tons of nearby restaurants, and all the bells and whistles that you would need to stay for a couple days or a couple months. Quiet, safe, tons of parking, a full kitchen, laundry room, the whole shebang. Rachel always went above and beyond. Would highly recommend to anyone.

Great place for a traveler!
I really enjoyed staying at this studio apt! It literally had everything I needed as a nurse traveler. Bed was comfy, full kitchen with all supplies, bathroom with included essentials. The washer and dryer was available literally next door to the unit for free to use. There was a fenced backyard that was perfect to let my dog out in the back. Rachel was VERY communicative. She was quick to respond to my needs and was not far away If you needed her to come by! She also included the mailbox key if needed for mail. I would def stay at this studio again. It was perfect! Only CON: parking is street parking and everyday after 5pm it is hard to find parking on the street of unit due to the nearby restaurant traffic. I’ve had to park around the block or way down the street quite a few if I left the unit in the evening. However, this con would not keep me from booking here again.

Great Accessible, Cozy Place in Perfect Location
I spent a month here and loved it! Rachel was a wonderful host and was super accommodating and helpful. It was actually really quiet and peaceful even with the busyness of the neighboring restaurants (which were all great). As a wheelchair user I really appreciated the accessible bathroom and the height of the bed being low enough to easily transfer on and off. The only qualm was that the kitchen counters were higher than I am used to but I was still able to cook and clean easily enough. I also always felt really comfortable asking Rachel for anything I needed and she was always great with communication and working with me. I will definitely be staying here again next time I visit Portland and would whole-heartedly recommend it to anyone!

I love working and living in Portland and specifically in the Alberta Arts district. You'll frequently find me walking around the neighborhood with my three exuberant kids or doing projects with neighbors.

Why they chose this property

This awesome condo building had the top two floors moved from down the hill in three pieces back in early 2000. Our unit was constructed at that time and the moved units were secured on top. It's a beautiful blending of the old and new Portland and the location is fantastic. It's also in a beautiful community I've lived in for 15 years and want to share with others coming to Portland.

What makes this property unique

We're close to all the good things in Portland and have a wonderful, quiet space to live and work while in town. We can even supply cleaning services for you if needed during your stay.
