Amazing place!

This was our first time visiting the keys & we lucked out finding this place! The pool is amazing, the views are amazing, the outdoor space is top notch 😎 We enjoyed being just a mile from John Pennencamp State Park & not too far from Founders Beach 🏖 This spot is very close to the bathhouse/laundry area & a short drive to get groceries or any other necessities. The staff & security were great & we had the most phenomenal hosts, Heather & Yandel, thank you so much for everything! ☺️❤️

Great stay!

We were at this property for a month in Jan-Feb 2024 and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The covered outdoor space with large dining table was great for eating all or meals. We did a ton or walking around the Calusa Campground and the adjoining neighborhoods (including a nearby Publix grocery store). When we weren't walking around the grounds, we were leisurely touring the campground on the included golf cart. The rental itself was good. The owners kept in touch with us to make sure we were comfortable. They worked quickly to resolve our minor issues and overall our stay was excellent.

Paradise in Key Largo

We spent one month at this property. Fabulous stay. Would return in a heartbeat. Plus points…great appliances, plenty of cookware, nice complete spice selections, comfortable beds, fantastic outdoor space, golf cart, heated pool, comfortable air conditioning, beautiful sunsets, friendly people, faces a canal. Easy parking. Minus points…. Hmm, a little short on storage, but hey, it’s a camper😁.

A little slice of paradise!

The listing and pictures were accurate but honestly didn’t do justice to just how beautiful this place is. From the sunsets to the manatees playing in the canal, lots of nice surprises met us. We didn’t need to leave the campground except for groceries. Our place was relaxing, well stocked, had all of the conveniences needed and a wonderful outdoor space where we read in the morning and watched tv at night. The golf cart is an excellent feature as well. The owners were very responsive and flexible. Will most definitely stay again and hopefully soon!

Best lobstering !

We have been coming to the keys for a decade and decided to try. New type of place. It was absolutely one of the best trips. The hosts are absolutely amazing and when immediately called or text me back when I had an iquiry. The camper is suitable for 6 people although we only had 4. The kitchen is stocked with all you need and theres even a second fridge outside. We cooked dinner every night at our camper as it has a table for 12 and a tv and grill , along with a huge fan. 10/10!!!!!

Cozy place on the bay side.

This property is located in a campground style complex. It is on the Bay side of the Keys and sits across a few steps from the docks and water access. We were able to pull up and load our boat very easily. The campground is well kept, clean and patrolled by Security. Check in and check out was easy and quick. Owners were fantastic. We got there during the Keys coldest spell in decades and the owner drove from Miami to give us heaters and make us comfortable. There was a golf cart for us to use to get around the campgrounds that provided a pool, laundry and other facilities. The outdoor patio was nice and great place to enjoy breakfast or any meal or just chill. It was a small place but had a full kitchen and full sized fridge. It was perfect for our needs and I would recommend.

We had such a great time

We stayed in this trailer in February. The communication with hosts Heather and Yandel was outstanding. They even stopped by to make sure we had what we needed. Directions, check-in, check-out was super easy, Everything was clean and ready for our stay. The outside area had a large TV where we watched the Super Bowl with friends, a grill to make dinner and a large table, chairs and plenty of out door seating. We saw several manatees in the canal, swam in the community pool which was warm, large and had lots of seating. There is seating next to the water to watch the gorgeous sunsets. This is a gated community, the security staff was kind and all the neighbors were so friendly. The location was near the grocery store and several restaurants. Thank you for letting us stay in this home, we had such a great time in Key Largo.

We had a great time! Our host was easy to get into contact with and very kind. It would be fun if there were a little “convenience store “ on the property for treats or needs rather than having to leave. Also it would be fun to have an “activity center” for kids. Like carpet ball or outdoor games to check out. Overall it was very pleasant and we would return!

Why they chose this property

Calusa Campground Resort and Marina is a beautiful bayside community located in Key Largo Florida. The community is gated and has 24-hour security. The property is in a great location with less than one mile proximity to Publix, K-Mart, gas station, liquor store, and variety of Restaurants. There are many fun activities Key Largo has to offer outside the community, including fishing, kayaking, and swimming with dolphins. Guests are entitled to full access of the community pool, marina with boat ramp, tennis court, basketball court, kids' playground, and laundry room.

What makes this property unique

If you have never been camping, this is a great opportunity to do so. The community provides a great feel of camping but in a more modern way.
