There is a small fruit and veggie stand for most of your needs without having to visit a supermarket. From the villa, you are only a five-minute stroll in either direction along the seafront to beautiful pebble beaches and the crystal clear water of the Dalmatian coast. Other more distant beaches can be explored by rental boats from the harbor, or simply by walking along paths from the village.
Getting Around
Within the village, you are only a few minutes walk from everything you need for a relaxing holiday by the sea. Beautiful pebble beaches are only a five-minute stroll away. Other more distant beaches can be explored by rental boats or kayaks from the harbor, or by hiking along paths from the village.
Market villages are a short drive away behind the mountain and make a lovely morning excursion for fresh produce or a traditional grill lunch. Excursions to nearby islands, along the coast to secluded beaches, or into the countryside can be had with local tour operators, or by booking private tours in the village to the nearby island of Brac or along the coast for outings on day cruise boats or speed boats.
Pisak is close to Omis, Split, Brela and Makarska for shopping or outings where there are supermarkets, quality butchers, grower's markets and fish markets. Makarska is a large town with most major supermarkets and many restaurants. Car ferries depart from both Makarska and Split to nearby islands for exploration wider afield.
For the adrenalin seekers, excursions into the mountains for river rafting, hiking, bike riding and adventure sports are on your doorstep with jogging trails literally passing by our gate. From Pisak, there are well signposted trails running along the coast between villages. From the main road above the village, hiking trails lead up to the mountain ridges above the village for stunning views along the coast. The strenuous hike is well worth it, wear good joggers/boots and take plenty of water.
There are bus connections towards Split or Makarska and beyond from a bus-stop above Pisak on the main road. By car it is a scenic drive along the coast road to Makarska 20 km, Omis 15km, Split 40 km and Airport Split a scenic 58 km. During peak season, allow a little more time due to possibly slow traffic along the coast.
