Month of warming up

Wife & I, plus our dog...later, grandkids & kids visited for a week. Paid for pool heat and was comfy on cool days and was warm for the kids. Pool clean & well-maintained. Beautiful outdoor space (we lived all waking hours on the pool/patio), beautiful view of lake. The garage was set up as a game room for young kids (they loved), also floaties for pool. House was well appointed- plenty of plates, cookware, towels!!!, etc. 7 beds in all for really large families (plus sofa sleeper). Tub for little kids, big showers for adults and all bedrooms have attached bathrooms. Area is safe, great sidewalks & a fun bar & grill in the resort property. Owner (Paul) helped me understand the front door lock and was awesome to work with & helped solve a lock issue on the large sliding glass doors. We are coming back!

Balmoral rental

The house was fine. We had a problem on Wednesday when we returned in the afternoon from shopping to hear the alarm blasting away . It was so loud you could hear it from the street. When we called the customer service # NOONE answered. We tried repeatedly to no avail. If the poolcare guy had not come by, we would have called the fire dept. Very disappointed and won't use it again.

Bare minimum

The house is beautiful and it was clean. I gave it a two because it has nothing you need to stay in the house: 1 roll of toilet paper per room, no wash cloths, 1 towel per room, some had a hand towel some didn't. One garbage bag for the week. No dish soap, no hand soap. Would have been good to know this before we got there. I also paid extra to have the pool heated. It didn't get warm until 4 days into the trip. The owner said they only heat it from 8am-8pm. By the time it could have gotten warm, it was off and then got cold again due to the cool evenings. I have stayed in MANY VRBO homes and have never experienced the lack of things you need to stay there.

Sorry to hear your review but all homes come with the 'start up essentials' towels toilet roll etc which is standard practice.You fail to mention the kitchen supplies 3 dish washer tablets , kitchen roll, washing liquid etcthat we leave for each guest.You were staying in a ' self catering vacation home'.What we provide is to get you started the rest is down to you which has been the same in all our homes the past 9 years and all guests understand this.The pool heater works on a timer and can run for a maximum of 12 hours per day it does not run 24/7.When the outside weather is cold it naturally takes longer to warm up as there are 12,000 gallons of water to heat each day.You say the pool heat did not work for 4 days yet on day two of your stay we checked the pool heater and sent the picture of it working which again you fail to mention. Thanks for your feedback but when commenting on someone elses business you really should report the actual facts not your version of them which causes unecesary reputational damage.We shall accordingly provide a review of you as a guest. Good luck with future vacations
