I Grew up in New Richmond Ohio. I know you will find it as charming as I have. I spent my childhood riding a bike throughout town and playing basketball at the local parks.
Why they chose this property
Springer House is a beautiful and historic building. It is situated in the middle of the revitalized historic district. Right outside your door you can visit a half dozen restaurants and shops. You can also sit at one of the local riverfront parks and feed ducks or watch the boats. You won't just see the small speedboats on the Ohio River!
You can bike or walk around the small Ohio town. The town has about a half dozen parks and green spaces. Several have play areas for small children, two have basketball courts, and one has skateboard ramps.
Just up the scenic river highway about 5 minutes toward Cincinnati is Woodland Mound park with exercise trails, waterpark, frisbee golf and more. Just past Woodland you can take in a round of golf and Coldstream Country Club. 2 miles past this you come to Coney Island with the largest recirculating pool in the country. Coney Island also has water slides, rides, and games. Next door to Coney is the premier concert destination in Cincinnati. That's right your only 15 minutes to the biggest concert acts that come to Cincinnati. It is also an open air setting https://riverbend.org/. Next door to Riverbend is the popular Belterra Park and Casino. You can also visit all that downtown Cincinnati has to offer within an easy 30 minute drive. This includes Major League Baseball, NFL Football, MLS Soccer, Cincinnati Zoo, Newport Aquarium, Art Museum, Cincinnati Music Hall, Aronoff Center (live theatre), and the Cincinnati Museum Center.
New Richmond is also just a 15 minute drive national restaurants and shopping chains. This includes, Starbucks, Outback Steakhouse, Olive Garden, Red Lobster, Carrabba's, Macy's, Target, Longhorn Steakhouse, and dozens more.

What makes this property unique
History:
Springer House has a rich history. It was built in 1893 after the original buildings on the site burned down. Near the back of the building you will see the historic marker for the abolitionist news paper called the Philanthropist. Prior to the Civil War New Richmond was active in the abolitionist movement and part of the Underground Railroad. 3 blocks away you can see the home and office of Dr. Rodgers who was a popular abolitionist and supporter of the newspaper. His other claim to fame was that he delivered famous Civil War General and U.S. President Ulysses S. Grant.
