The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Load and start the dishwasher
Strip any used beds and gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
1. Empty the fridge and freezer of all contents 2. Take the garbage to the dumpster
3. Please do not leave any dishes in the sink. If there are dirty pots & pans, please wash them before you leave and load all dirty cups, glasses, plates etc. in the dishwasher and start the dishes.
4. LOAD and start the dishwasher 5. Place the sheets on the floor and the towels on the bathroom floor. 6. Put the comforters back on the beds
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
There are absolutely no pets, and the rule is set by our condo association so it is not flexible. Not even teacup pets.
Please leave TV remotes in the rooms in the correct rooms. They should be labeled! It gets very confusing when they walk away. :)

The condo had everything we needed to enjoy our week. We especially enjoyed being right on the beach and having the pool. Only downside is not having a washer/dryer in the unit. Otherwise everything was great!

Home away from home

As always, this property is in immaculate shape. The beds are extremely comfortable. The furniture is cozy and homie. The kitchen is more than adequately stocked. The location…SUPERB! We have every intention of renting this unit again. Our family simply loves staying here.

We had an excellent vacation here! It was perfect for our family and met all of our needs. The kitchen was well stocked, loved the quality cookware, as we only ate at a restaurant once and cook most of our food at home. The view was amazing and we loved the easy access to the beach. Our kids thoroughly enjoyed the pool. Even though the weather was a bit rainy and cold for a few days, we still enjoyed it so much and absolutely LOVED sitting on the porch to hear the ocean. This was just a great place to stay. Due to my own fault, we had a tiny issue checking in - but that was my own confusion - and Lockie was very quick in responding to me and helping me! We didn't have any other issues or need to contact them - it was just a great place to stay. We're thankful it was available for the week we needed a place. The whole place was clean and inviting. If we're able, we would stay here again.

Great family destination!

My husband, mother and I had the opportunity to stay at this beautiful location 11/23-11/30. The weather was perfect and the condo delivered on location, amenities and space. The kitchen was one of the nicest we have ever had in a rental property. We truly appreciated the opportunity to have this week at Hunter’s Hideaway!

Nice condo on the beach. Good condition, nicely decorated, and well stocked kitchen. Convenient location away from high traffic areas but just a short trip to area hot spots. Plenty of room for up to 8 guests.

A beautiful condo to visit!

We love this area in Murrells Inlet! This condo is nice and homey, not just a high rise, it has character. Any small issues we had, Zac and Lockie fixed right away! Would definitely stay again!

Beautiful beach location

Fabulous property on the beach. Very clean and stocked with lovely beach themed plates, cups and utensils. Our weather was not the greatest but we didn’t mind because this condo was extremely comfortable. Will definitely be back!

Great for a family

Pros: Excellent location easy to get into on the first floor great view of pool, perfect for older children to keep an eye on them. Close to the beach with a nice view. Cons: Would have liked access to a washer and dryer as well as more comfortable beds,with a ceiling fan in the master bedroom.

Wonderful spot on the beach

This was the perfect location for my family and I. There are two sets of elevators to use and the most beautiful view of the ocean. We fell asleep to the sound of the waves every night! My 95 year old grandmother was in love with the place and said we had to come back next year!!

Felt like a home :)

We loved our stay at this condo ! My family and I all agreed that this condo has great positive vibes and felt more like a home then a rental. The location on the first floor is perfect with the porch overlooking the pool deck and ocean. We would defiantly book this property again in the future for a two week stay !

We loved garden city!

We loved the process of staying at this unit from start to finish. Booking was simple through vrbo and we were able to efficiently stay in contact with the oner through our stay. Garden city is a great option if you want to stay close to the Myrtle Beach area but not directly in the crowded areas. The condo is beautiful and spacious.

Very convenient beach location

Overall its a great location, very close to the beach, made it very convenient. The only issue was the bedsheets both queen bed sheets had huge stains, one queen sheet had blood drops on it. Everything else in the house was great.

Thoughtful touches and a great location

My family and I stayed at the hunters hideaway and it was indeed a pleasure. We purchased the linen package and it was definitely worth it. The condo has a great location with a nice view of the beach. We stayed during the “off season” so we didn’t get to use the pool but it looked very nice. My favorite thing about the condo outside of the location and views was the thoughtfulness! They had baskets of common needed items in the rooms and bathrooms, definitely included somethings I forgot. Thanks so much for sharing your beautiful spot with us!

December Wedding

The property was wonderful! Exceptionally clean, quiet (it was December, though)! That being said the only down side was the heat was not turned on when we arrived. It was cold for about five hours before it actually warmed up. Next time I would double check about heat and not just adding it would be warm in South Carolina!! Overall the condo was above a rating of 10!

Family Friendly and Great Location

The location is great. Everything is within a 20 minute drive. The condo was very clean and as pictured. We had 3 adults and 4 young adults. I would say that the "Bunk Bed" room is not ideal for 4 young male adults, 2 ended up sleeping in the living room. The top bunks are a bit awkward, but would work just fine for smaller kids. I was surprised and very pleased that the beach didn't feel over crowded. We went June 4-11 which is considered "first week" when all the seniors head to the beach. Everyone had an amazing time.

I am a southern gal, raised in the mountains of Tennessee. My husband is from Maine, but our family of four now lives in Asheville, North Carolina, tucked in the hills. I am a professor of writing and literature at a local college, while my husband is a software guy. Our two children love placing their toes in the sand, and we try to get to the beach any time our place is not rented.

Why they chose this property

This beach condo was first purchased by my mom and dad to be a family beach place to go since we had moved from Tennessee to Boston in the 1970s. We missed the South Carolina beaches! I remember looking at the blueprints for the building as a ten-year-old, my heart full of excitement. We were one of the first to buy and we picked the exact unit we wanted, looking out at both the pool and ocean beyond. Many years later, as an adult, my parents sold it to me, and now my family of 4 can create their own memories of time at Garden City Beach. Since we have owned the condo since it was built we literally have renters who have been coming down for over 20 years. Many memories have been made here and we hope that you, too, will cherish the place as we do.

What makes this property unique

Location is key, and the place boasts amazing views, and is truly right on the beach! Our porch overlooks the ocean and has a large table with seating for 5 and is perfect for your morning coffee, lunch, or evening sunset dinner. Our family has been coming here since the kids were babies. It is a very family-friendly beach! Our unit overlooks both the pool and ocean.
In 2016 we installed all new hdtv's in each bedroom. The living room boasts a 40" HDTV, the quilt room has a 32" hdtv while the master and twin room both boast countertop hdtvs. We take great care in all the details of the place, from the hand-picked seagull dishes to the paintings on the wall.

Our condo is very well equipped, so much so that many folks come down for the winter and stay for a couple of months! The kitchen is a working kitchen with all stainless steel appliances, and a large granite counter-top, and plenty of pots and pans and cookware.
We are also situated between 2 piers, the Garden city pier and the Surfside pier, both walkable distances.
Nearby Murrells Inlet is a working fishing village, dubbed the seafood capital of South Carolina. Here you will find amazing seafood places serving up lunch and dinner on a scenic waterway called the "marshwalk". You can also explore the salt marsh on an ecology tour or a parasail ride, a jet ski, kayak canoe, eco, dolphin or adventure tour, or explore Wacca Wache, which is a freshwater marina.
Or, you may opt for the hustle and bustle of Myrtle Beach, but then return home to our quieter family-focused Garden City Beach. LINENS INCLUDED!
