Very nice townhouse extremely close to DT Des Moines. Our 7 year old was obsessed with the reading nook and spent all of her time there. Thoughtful extras made our stay very comfortable. Perfect size for a family of 3. Thanks Kelsey for a great stay!
very cute & cozy property. neighborhood was quiet. Everything listed in the description was accurate. beds were comfy. Stayed 2 nights. Will definitely try to book again if back in the area! Check in & out was simple and any messages to the owner were answered back quickly.
This property was just perfect for me. I needed some quiet time after a stressful house closing and move and before moving into my new home. The book nook was an absolute life saver! I found a book that I loved as a child and read it. Stayed in the book nook for hours! It was the retreat I needed. Clean, cozy and comfortable.
This house was a gorgeous little split level. Its small, but when vacationing, you don't stay at the house much. It was perfect for a place to sleep.
Check in was a breeze because the host sends the door code very early in the day.
We had friends in and out, she allowed us to have up to 5 people sleep at the house even though we only booked it for 3 people. It does sleep up to 5 people.
The keurig was well stocked with K-cups, even if there were mostly decaf ones.
I really enjoyed our stay here and will book this place again if I ever come back out to Iowa.
This was a sweet little home for our stay in Des Moines. We enjoyed the clean house. The location and driveway (which had broken glass in it) were not as nice as I was hoping. My son loves outdoors and there was no way we were letting him explore anything outside. The house and hosts were good and had good communication. My daughter loved the reading nook. The location for traveling downtown was handy, but if we ever stayed here in Des Moines again I would be booking a house in West Doines and just travel downtown. The neighborhood and uncomfortable feeling of the area were a deal breaker to me.
The private Modern Boho was perfect for our stay. The exterior and the interior of the property were clean, inviting and comfortable. We especially loved all of the personal touches: throw pillows, rugs, nick nacks/decorations, fully stocked kitchen, coffee bar, spices, toiletries and crisp fresh linens. The beds were extremely comfortable. Kelsey was awesome! I had many questions and she went above and beyond to answer with many suggestions for things for us to do on our girls trip. I felt like I was planning my trip with a good friend on the receiving end. Thank you for a wonderful experience. The only thing that concerned me was that we could clearly hear the conversations occurring on the other side of the bathroom wall from the tenants next door. I hope that we did not disturb the family next door with our giggles and laughter.
From the beginning to the end the communication from Kelsey was fast and informative. She answered every question I had as well as gave me fantastic suggestions for places to eat. The house was very clean, quiet, convenient and comfortable. We came down for an overnight stay and this was just the place for the 4 of us. The "code" specific to us to unlock the door made us feel very secure as well as the cameras outdoors. The home was made available 2 hours before our original check in time. This was so nice of them to accommodate us.The Keurig coffee was a hit as well as the filtered water pitcher! This home was so cozy and comfortable! 2 bathrooms helped a lot with 2 ladies trying to get ready for the evening. We will definitely be staying here again in the future!
The property was exactly as listed! It was very clean and well maintained! The reading nook was a hit with the kids. The beds were comfortable and clean. The kitchen had all the basics for cooking. It was spacious enough for my family of 5. We were in town for baseball, and spent 8 hours per day at the fields so we only needed a place closeby to rest and sleep. It was perfect location from field and offered exactly what we needed. The location to downtown and the ball park was ideal. However, this would not be somewhere I would have my family stay if we needed to spend more time at the property. The neighborhood was not well maintained. And it was not until we drove to Hyvee and the baseball fields we realized how much drug use was in the surrounding area. There were a lot of run down houses and lots of peddlers on the corner. We felt safe in the house, but would not go for a walk in the neighborhood. The back yard is not fenced in and so the kids did not go play in the back yard either. I don't want to take anything away from the owners- their place is perfect! We had a comfortable stay and the owners had cameras and a secure door. It was exactly what we needed for our weekend.
