Coming to Pittsburgh but need more space than a hotel. Well, ditch the hotel or your in law's home and book this amazing home in the Squirrel Hill Neighborhood. With great access to downtown Pittsburgh, PNC Park and Heinz Field you'll love this for sporting events. Just a short 3 mile drive the Carnegie Mellon and University of Pittsburgh; so, whether your coming in for a weekend to see your college student or need a spot for graduation the Steel City Getaway will not disappoint. Don't forget to visit the Heinz History Center, Carnegie Natural History Museum or the Warhol!

This home has exceptional WIFI/Internet, solid cell service and a dedicated office, so, if you have to work from home you are covered. The Steel City getaway boasts 4 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. Did we say that it has a 1st Floor Master Bedroom? Yes, it does!

You will certainly enjoy the inside with large living room and open concept kitchen but be sure to check out the outside with the seasonal hot tub, back yard with raised deck and gas grill! Wow!

There is 1 off-street dedicated parking spot at this home; but, there is free (first come, first serve parking) on street. Off-street parking can be a challenge, so, you might not get a spot right by the house; but, it's always free!

Please Note: The hot tub is seasonal. The hot tub is NOT operational October 1 – April 30.

Guest understands that there is security "ring door bell" camera type located at the front entrance of the cabin to monitor access/egress.

Clean comfortable house. Great to have the Wii video game machine for kids. Great location. Easy parking. Lots of steep stairs as shown in pictures. Comfortable beds. Perfect for family or large group. Would happily stay here again.

Wonderful time in Pittsburgh

The house and location was perfect for our girlfriend get away. Location was convenient to museums and attractions. Owner was easy to work with. Would definitely stay here again.

The lock was very sensitive. Plenty of towels. Clear instructions about trash/recycle. Done kitchen items were in some very odd locations but we hunted high and low and found them.

Came for a wedding

Loved the baby gates and attention to safety. Had a great time with the WII! Smoke alarm battery was chirping when we arrived but was very promptly addressed. Could use updates on the mattresses

Steel City Getaway A+

The house was just as described. The neighborhood was very quaint / classic Pittsburgh. It snowed overnight and we awoke to a freshly shoveled sidewalk/house steps with salt spread! We had a great time at this location!

Great Stay

Everything was great. My family and I stayed here while visiting Pittsburgh for my doctoral graduation. House was very clean. Everything you need is there. There was plenty of space for my family with there being 6 of us. Close to downtown and several universities. My kids had so much fun playing the Nintendo Wii. It was nice having off street parking as well. I would highly recommend.

Baseball ⚾

Went down for a pirates game with my son and father. The property and neighborhood was nice. Felt safe. I highly recommend going to Pittsburgh for anything. It's a great City. Hometown feel with a big City vibe. Just a few things I would improve about the house would be definitely a bigger comfortable couch. Wasn't very relaxing to sit on and it was very small. Also I wish they just had cable TV. The fire stick was kind of annoying to use and couldn't watch any live sports. We really wanted to watch the pirates game on Friday night. Other than that I would definitely stay there again!

Nice Place Overall

Took a weekend trip to Pittsburgh. Was two couples and our dogs. The house provided everything we needed. Plenty of space. Bedrooms did only have queen beds. Would recommend upgrading to kings, especially in the downstairs master. Two full baths. Having one on each level was nice. The fenced in area was nice for the dogs and provided privacy from the neighbors. Only negative was the fence did not connect to an interior door so we did have to use a leash or carry our dogs to the fenced area. Not much yard space but we were able to walk our dogs in the neighborhood. Hot tub was great. Management company was very responsive to a few questions we had before arriving. Check in was very easy. Would definitely stay here again.

We had the most amazing stay at Steel City Getaway! The area is so quiet and the neighbors are so friendly! The house was very clean and lots of room to spread out. Dave was so easy to communicate with!

Spacious home in quaint neighborhood, No hot tub

House is located approximately 10-15 min drive from central city Pittsburg. Nice sized bedrooms. Kids enjoyed playing the Wii. Issues with overflowing trash receptacles upon arrival and non functioning hot tub. Property manager took care of trash the next morning but was unable to fix hot tub. Hot tub is leaking badly(must refill everyday), held together by visible tape, and does not heat. The hot tub was unusable our entire stay and should not be listed as an amenity for the property which is one of the main reasons we booked this property over others.

Great Stay

Stayed here over a long weekend for a hockey tournament. We commuted to Ice Castle in Castle Shannon at various times of day and it was very reasonable. Neighborhood was quiet and clean. Driveway parking available which we used and had to park an additional vehicle on the street. No issues finding parking. Backyard was fully fenced and clean. Would be super cute in the Spring-Fall time. Salt and shovel were available for us as well as a couple of space heaters should we needed them. I would have liked a few more spare blankets as we all tend to run cold. I would definitely stay here again and recommend!

Great weekend away

Four colleagues in Pittsburgh to watch the Pirates. We thoroughly enjoyed the stay at the house which has a great backyard with hot tub, BBQ and picnic table. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The kitchen was very good although some of the cookware should be updated. Explanations were thorough. Overall, definitely 5 star stay

Family Reunion in Pittsburgh

The house was great. I was worried about parking but it really wasn’t a problem with the one parking spot and street parking right in front. The hot tub had an issue but I emailed the contact person and it was handled almost immediately.

Cozy and a Convenient Location

Overall, we had a great stay. It's well stocked and very cozy. Wish the primary bedroom had nightstands and lamps, and the living room had a better couch and seating but it was a nice place and we enjoyed the jacuzzi. Had an issue with the living room TV being too old to stream without hooking it up to a laptop which was inconvenient, although the manager did try to fix it to no avail. There are a lot of stairs up to the front door, and the street is crowded with cars, but had a parking space so that didn't affect us. It was a great location to the waterfront district and Pitt University! 5 stars if they fix the LR TV!
