Cozy accommodation in old dairy, near the royal castles and castle ruins, living in nature, barbecues in the garden, an ideal starting point for hikes and mountain tours, good mountain bike trails and bike network, more than ten swimming lakes and Badeweiher in the immediate vicinity. It is the land of castles, mountains and lakes, the most beautiful corner of the Ostallgäu. Haus Egelsee is located, with a view of Neuschwanstein, in the middle of this Allgäu landscape.
The house has 2 apartments, both overlooking the beautiful mountain scenery. The nearby Egelsee (1 km) is located in the nature reserve, a nice walk!
A garden house with barbecue and football table, in the midst of the flower garden, is available to both units.
You can walk around the house with the sun throughout the day. In the east you can sit and sunbathe with a parasol available (also for breakfast), in the west you can also enjoy the sunset until the sunset.
Dogs possible on request.
Entrance on the ground floor, private parking.

Away from the hussle and bussle

Very Nice surrounding and beautifull view and garden. Bathroom and shower not very well, lukewarm shower and little water. Overall the appartement coud be a bit cleaner.

Rural Idyll

We had an amazing stay at Haus Egelsee. A converted dairy with thick walls, solid floors with lots of rugs, a double bed in a curtained-off area from the entrance hall, and a bunk bed in the kid's room. Living room has a comfortable sofa, two armchairs and a dining table. Lovely kitchen with fridge, dishwasher, coffee machine and a pantry drawer where previous guests have left unused but storable food (pasta, tea bags, etc) which came in handy (and which we contributed to in the end). Bathroom is clean, plenty of towels provided. Overall - comfortable, with massive amounts of character. Outside? Stunning. If you're looking for "classic" Bavarian mountains, meadows and cabins, this is it. You approach the property from a long, minor road, and find yourself in the middle of rolling flower-covered meadows, with a clear view of Neuschwanstein Castle in the distance. We had breakfast and evening meals at the table outside gazing across the valley to the mountains, with snow still visible in late May. Silent apart from cuckoos and cowbells, the calls of kites overhead and the chatter of birds in nesting boxes mounted around the house. Kids loved catching (and releasing) newts in the garden pond. You could spend a holiday just walking around the immediate landscape - but the castles, Mount Tegelberg and Füssen are just 20 mins drive away and plenty of other great places to visit around about. Thoroughly recommended - we all want to go back. Thanks, Lotte, for being a great host.

Schöne Wohnung, schöne Lage

Wir hatten eine sehr schöne und gemütliche Wohnung mit besonderem Charme in einer ruhigen Lage. Sehr freundliche und offene Gastgeber. An Aktivitäten für Gross und klein mangelte es in der Umgebung auch nicht. Können wir als Familie nur weiterempfehlen.

Schöne Lage, herrlicher Ausblick und dennoch Verbesserungswürdig

Der Buchungsvorgang ging reibungslos. Auch auf einen Anruf von mir und einer E-Mail wurde schnell und freundlich eingegangen. Ankunft und Check In verlief ohne Probleme. Die Unterkunft bietet in Umkreis viele attraktive Ausflugsziele für Familien an. Der Garten ist traumhaft schön. Unsere Unterkunft selbst war leider an einigen Stellen nicht wirklich sauber. In den Ecken sind Spinnweben inkl. Tierchen. Die oberen Küchenschränke waren verklebt und staubig und im Bad steht die Feuchtigkeit. Das alles war in der Summe noch zu ertragen, jedoch ließ der Wohlfühlcharakter schnell dadurch nach. Beim Auschecken haben wir dies angemerkt und es wurde freundlich darauf eingegangen.

Rustikale Unterkunft in landschaftlich reizvoller Umgebung

Auf der Suche nach einer günstigen Unterkunft in Alpen nähe, zwischen den Feiertagen, bin ich auf dieses haus gestoßen. Wir wollten Skifahren hauptsächlich in Österreich. Das nächste größere Skigebiet liegt ca 30 min entfernt bzw sind mehrere im Umkreis von 1h fahrt. Von Kontaktaufnahme bis check in lief alles reibungslos. Die parkmöglichkeiten am Objekt sind herausragend, die große Wohnung hat eine eigene Zufahrt. Man betritt die Einheit durch einen windfang und steht direkt im eltern Schlafzimmer davon abgetrennt ist die Stube mit offener Küche. Vom Wohnzimmer gelangt man ins Kinderzimmer mit dem stockbett, von küche ins Bad. Das kleine kizi ist ausschließlich zum Schlafen gedacht, ein abgetrenntes kizi war uns wichtig. Das Bad ist zweckmäßig aber mit Fußbodenheizung. Leider war die Wohnung total ausgekühlt bei Ankunft ende Dezember, was die Heizung erst ab tag 3 ausgleichen konnte. Das größere Problem war die Sauberkeit und die flächendeckenden Teppiche und Läufer (ansonsten fußkälte) inklusive tierhaare die ein traum für Allergiker sind. Ich vermute die nette rüstige vermieterin macht alles in eigenregie. Überrascht (aus Unkenntnis) hat mich die hohe Kurtaxe,obwohl man ja ewig weg von füssen ist, dafür darf man kostenlos öffis fahren, nächste Bushaltestelle 20 min fußmarsch. Dafür kann die Vermieterin natürlich nichts. Im sommer könnte ich mir ebike touren und Wanderungen dort gut vorstellen. Alles Gute für die Zukunft frau chaney!

Schöne Wohnung mit Abstrichen

Sehr schöne Lage, traumhafter Ausblick auf die Allgäuer Bergkette und Schloss Neuschwanstein. Wohnung hatte alles, was benötigt wird. Leider war diese etwas staubig bzw. enthielt viele Spinnen - Staubfäden/ Spinnenweben hingen von Decken und Wänden. Warmes Wasser für die Dusche dauerte etwas länger als gewöhnlich - Staubsauger war nicht vorhanden. Schöner gepflegter Naturgarten.

Urlaub

Schöne große und gemütliche Ferienwohnung. Den Garten teilt man sich mit einer zweiten Ferienwohnung. Er ist wunderschön und lädt mit Sonnenliegen und Sonnenschirm zum entspannen ein. Von dort hat man einen wunderschönen Blick bis nach Füssen und kann an klaren Tagen sogar das Schloss Neuschwanstein sehen. Danke für den schönen Aufenthalt. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Sonniger Pfingsturlaub

Die Unterkunft liegt sehr schön mit Blick auf Füssen und Neuschwanstein in der Ferne und dem schönen Alpenpanorama der Lechtaler Alpen. Direkt von der Unterkunft aus kann man schöne Spaziergänge, Radausfahrten unternehmen. Im nahen Pfronten kann man sich gut mit allen nötigen Lebensmitteln versorgen. Die Unterkunft hat alles, was man braucht, die Küche ist gut ausgestattet (selbst ein Waffeleisen gibt es). Die Vermieter sind sehr zuvorkommend. Die Reise war angenehm und gelungen. Gerne wieder !
