Sunrise Beach house

Difficult access, nice house that has had hard wear. Railing on stars detached, inside couches broken down and uncomfortable, had to worry about putting too much in fridge that is room temp because it might freeze up. Lights in Master bath did not work properly, dishwasher did not work properly, had to wash and dry all the towels before we left.

Property as advertised. Nice place to stay.

House was as described. Nice decks to sit outside and enjoy the lake. Lots of space to spread out. Owners were responsive to inquiries before and during our stay.

Great privacy & views

This home is perfect for a private getaway that offers solitude & wonderful views. Checking in took a while due to keypad not working & instructions not being clear, and the Wi-Fi information was also never shared with us. There were a few issues (like the main stairwell handrail was broken), but nothing that prevented us from enjoying our time there. Bre was quick to respond & help as best she could.

Neglected & Abandoned in the Woods

Upon arrival, I entered the code into the front door only to find the keypad was malfunctioning. We had to find the extra keys on the side of the house where an animal torn through the trash. Instantly, you can tell that it has had a rough summer. The cream feather couches were dirty, brown and extremely lumpy. The chair missing its cushion with one leg hanging off. I sent images of the damaged items, and told her how dirty it was. She tells me that she had no idea? How!? This is months worth of damage and neglect. Scorpions in the shower, blackened feet due to dirty floors, an inch of dust on fans, bugs in lights. Perhaps most dangerous; a broken handrail in the stairway. I read the instructions that were left (with notes from previous guests written on them to hosts) They don’t provide more then 3 rolls of toilet paper per stay, for five bedrooms? No hand soap, no toilet paper, no paper towels, a ducttaped together fridge? Not to mention the towels were old and dingy and you were REQUIRED to wash and fold. I’ve stayed everywhere on the lake, this is definitely the dirtiest lake house I’ve been in. We made the most of it, but left disappointed with a maid being 40 minutes early and watching us pack. The owners of this house need a new property manager, cleaner or to be kicked off Vrbo. When confronting Bre about the grill, she blamed previous bad guests. Then said “If you use it, you have to leave it clean.” It felt like staying in your friends dirty cabin, as a favor.

Great Location, and spacious house.

Awesome spot on the lake close to Franky and Louie's. House was well stocked to cook in. Dock was large and the paddle boards and lilly pad were nice touches. A great space for a group of 8-10 people, lots of space, beds and bathrooms. Only major downside was a huge pest situation. It was pointed out to be cautious at night time of the bugs that can get into the house because of the lights. But beyond that, we were greeted with lots of cobwebs, ants, and even a scorpion. Might be good to invest in a more regular pest control. Overall would recommend, just be sure your group is okay with a few extra critters.
