Cozy thatched cottage on the Elbe

The Mühlenkate is a fantastic place to recharge your batteries, unwind and simply relax far away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
In the biosphere reserve "Niedersächsische Elbtalaue" you can forget everyday life, experience nature and relax wonderfully.

Your living space:
Cozy roof floor under thatch with private bath and private entrance near the Elbe, the Elbe Cycle Path and the golf course Lüdersburg.

The entire top floor with plenty of space is at your disposal. It forms with the hallway and private bathroom on the ground floor a separate residential unit.
A cozy bedroom with double bed and morning sun, a spacious living room with dining area, two single beds plus sofa bed and everything you need.

A large side-by-side fridge with ice maker is in the hallway.
Small '' Teeküche '' with coffee maker, coffee and tea selection, kettle, toaster, dishes, glasses and cutlery, without cooking facilities.

On request I serve a rich and varied breakfast with eggs from happy chickens, home-made jam and beekeepers honey from the neighbors.
Breakfast and dinner are available on reservation.
I use fresh and regional products, mostly in organic quality.
Large garden, bicycles for hire.
Hair dryer, fresh linen and towels are included in the rental price.

Location:
The thatched cottage is quiet on the outskirts behind the windmill.
Just behind the house, nature begins. The village lies in the unique biosphere reserve "Niedersächsische Elbtalaue". The river is only a few minutes by bike.

The Kate is an ideal starting point for cycling and fishing trips as well as hikes in the beautiful Elbtalaue. The Elbe Cycle Route is 1.5 km away.

To go biking
The Elbe Cycle Route, the beautiful Marschhufen landscape and the Geest invite you to long bike rides in the beautiful nature.

The Elbe is an excellent area for coot, eel pike and zander.

The golf course in Lüdersburg is located about 3 minutes by car from Hittbergen.
The golf course of Schloss Lüdersburg has two award-winning 18-hole courses, as well as a public 4-hole course.

to bathe
Numerous white sand beaches and the better water quality make bathing in the Elbe again attractive.
Further bathing possibilities are the open-air swimming pool in Lauenburg, the Reihersee, Barumer See, Lanzer See.
