Villa Albatross Nest with Stunning Panoramic Sea View

Albatross Nest epitomizes Caribbean style living with truly breath taking 180-degree views from the property's open and elevated terraces. Enjoy magical sunset drinks with views of the island of Martinique in one direction and Pigeon Island National Park and Rodney Bay in the other.

Albatross Nest is our dream home - perfect views, distinctive open plan architecture, traditional Caribbean shingled buildings and beautiful tropical garden. Enjoy classic barefoot charm and listen to the sounds of nature and the sea below.

The property is secluded and provides perfect privacy - it is only ever rented to a single party/group. Its layout means that it is equally suited to 2 guests as much as it is for larger groups of up to 8 guests.

The villa was designed by architect, Robertson Ward, who designed the original Sandy Lane hotel in Barbados. Three buildings are linked by covered walkways around the large, private, central pool. The design is perfect for a tropical, outdoor lifestyle and the pool is spanned by an attractive bridge which creates a romantic environment.

Albatross Nest is located in the North West corner of the Cap Estate which is generally regarded as the premier residential area of St. Lucia.

The property is a very short drive to Pigeon Island beach, Anse Du Cap beach and Cas en Bas beach. The 18 hole golf course at the St. Lucia Golf and Country Club, snorkeling, scuba diving, kitesurfing, horse riding on the beach, tennis club and an award winning spa, as well as many of the island's best restaurants are all within a ten minute drive.

Maid service is provided 5 days a week. The gardener is at the property 2 days a week. The property has a security system. The pool is unfenced and deep so the property is not suitable for guests under the age of ten.

The property is managed by Kris Wagner who will welcome you to the property and advise on any aspects of your vacation. Kris and her team are on call 7 days a week to ensure that you have a wonderful holiday in St. Lucia.

A pre-stocking service is available so that when you arrive at the villa you do not immediately have to go shopping - you can immediately relax, unwind and enjoy the view.

The pictures don’t do this place justice. Views were out of this world. Very secluded and felt very safe on the property. The host was very communicative and helped us with our every need. Would definitely stay here again.

Superb Villa

June 2025 Stay

Stayed here on our honeymoon and it was everything the pictures show and more! Truly, this view is breathtaking and we couldn’t get over it. The pool is wonderful and the open seating area in the mornings and evenings is remarkably relaxing. Kris is wonderfully helpful and the staff also are just crazy nice and friendly as they keep the place immaculate! If you’re staying in the north of the island, I couldn’t recommend this place more.

The Villa is exactly as pictured! You can not beat those views . Ivy and Thomas were so nice as well. Don’t hesitate to book , you will not regret it!

Idyllic destination

Myself and 3 female friends stayed at this Villa for 7 days. We wish we could have stayed a month. It is the most beautiful place I have ever stayed, competes with Positano. The 180 deg view will take your breath away any time of day or any weather. Kris was an excellent host, very responsive. Ivy was a delight and pleasure to see through the week. We had Eike cook us 2 meals and they were our best meals, he needs a Michelin star. We went down the hill to Body Holiday for a day (walking is taking your life in your hands), had 2 wonderful massause come in that were fabulous, very professional. We ate at Naked Fisherman and The Cliff, highly recommend both, and went to Rodney Bay for lunch and a little shopping. I highly recommend this idyllic place.

Fantastic villa!

We had a wonderful stay at Albatross Nest! Kris was really helpful and knowledgeable, and it was lovely to have Ivy come by each weekday to freshen up the villa. The views were unbeatable and it was such a peaceful location. Took taxis (Donald was brilliant) into town when needed and walked down to The Naked Fisherman one evening. The setting was perfect, the staff were friendly and the food and drinks were amazing. Couldn’t recommend this villa enough!

We loved our stay in St Lucia. The house has the best views of anywhere we have ever stayed. The staff was extremely friendly and very helpful with lots of information. Donald the driver got us everywhere we needed to be all week and Ivy the housekeeper took such good care of us. Kris was wonderful with communication and making sure we had everything we needed. Odessa the chef made us our best meal we had on the island. The Albatross Nest is a MUST!

Remote working

Albatross Nest is a gem - a traditional built island heaven.in a private location which gets the top of island Atlantic Breeze. Our trial remote working in St Lucia for 18 days prior to our annual vacation here was a real success . It’s lateral layout where we could each have dedicated workspace, combined with great wifi really helped. All service was exemplary and unobtrusive. The experience doesn’t come any better for us - a real find .

Family Memories

Everything about this property was wonderful! We took advantage of every aspect of Albatros Nest. The view was gorgeous, whether it was sunny or overcast. You felt you were on the top of the world. So relaxing! The outside lifestyle really connected you with the natural surroundings. Ivy was wonderful and so sweet. Donald got us to the places we didn’t think we could drive ourselves to, first time driving on the left hand side of the road lol. He was great! We will definitely be back!

Best view on the whole island !!!

What an incredible experience with family. Diane and Kris were exceptional! Any one thing that we needed was only one call away. The rooms were clean and everything was exactly like the pictures. It really was the most memorable experience we have had on an island or any vacation. The open air was great! There is a great breeze all day and night and the rooms were comfortably air conditioned. Love love love all the way around. I would have chosen this villa 100x if I could. You will not be disappointed !

Great stay in Cap Estates

The views from this place are amazing! The layout is a bit hard to describe, but you can almost think of it as an open air house - instead of having walls enclosing everything, they're open to the beautiful views and breezes (the bedrooms are an exception, of course, providing privacy, en suite bathrooms and air conditioning). Ivy and Kris are great and having a meal cooked by Odessa was a real treat. And don't worry about the driveway... It is steep, but after the second time you do it, you've got it. Don't hesitate to reserve this home. It's spectacular!

Wonderful Getaway

The pictures of the property certainly are wonderful but the reality of the location and home is much better. We had a wonderful stay and vacation. Everyone of our wishes was granted. Ivy took tremendous care of us and keeping the home perfect throughout the stay. We had a meal prepared for us that was incredible and a big thank you to Odessa. We had organized a catamaran trip though Kris and the trip was very good. I will say that our expectation of the catamaran was a little different than what we got. Meaning it did not have a active sail which the trip was still fun but there was no sailing. Restaurants in the area a great Check our Coal pot and the naked fisherman. Kris Thank yo uwonderful trip

St. Lucia Cap Estate. Beautiful views and wonderful property

This is an amazing property with some of the best views you'll find. This villa is nicely laid out. Each room is unique and very comfortable. Everything worked and no issues at all. Breakfast table overlooks ocean and plenty of seating on the deck to enjoy the view. Plenty of birds and nature as well. Small telescope on the deck for looking at boats and pigeon island. Communication for all staff is great. Absolutely love Ivy and Thomas the housekeeper and landscaper. Make sure you get a rental car or plan for taxis. This is not a walkable property to beaches, stores, or really anything of necessity. Have Kris or Diane set it up for you and have the car at the house when you arrive.

Magical!

We had an amazing week at Villa Albatross. Everything about the house, Kris and Ivy were A+. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, the living area with the incredible views in all directions was spectacular. Kris was so attentive and responsive. We had some minor issues with a couple of appliances but nothing that interferred with our week. We hired Eike (chef) to come cook for us a couple of nights and he was wonderful. Would recommend this especially on the first night as it's a long travel day to get there. Ivy made our week the most special. She came daily and tidied up and was so gracious and kind. We fell in love with her. We ate at several restaurants that we close by to the villa (Naked Fisherman, Jaques Waterfront Dining, Cafe Ole - lunch, Spinnakers - lunch & Sakarugi). We would love to go back and highly recommend this villa. Thank you Kris!

This place is truly a hidden piece of paradise that leaves you feeling like it is all yours.

The property was clean, gorgeously designed to allow you to feel the warm touch of the island and fully equipped with everything you could possibly need. It’s nicely located within walking distance to 2 beaches and a short drive into Gros Islet. You also feel safe and taken care of with nighttime security and a daytime housekeeper during the week. If the private pool and beautiful scenery don’t sell you on this place then Kris, one of the property managers sure will! She was a gem to work with in preparing for our vacation and provided an endless amount of knowledge about the island. All of her recommendations were perfect and we owe one amazing evening filled with delicious lobster, St. Lucian culture and lots of dancing to her advice!! Our party of 8 truly had a memorable and special vacation. We would all go back to the Albatross Nest in a heartbeat. Stay here...you won’t be sorry!!

Amazing villa, exceeding expectations!

My family had an amazing vacation staying at this beautiful home! We loved the open air living and the pool was great... loved the depth + the standing ledge all around where we could enjoy the views! We saw many beautiful views in St Lucia on our day trips, but honestly, the view from the veranda and pool was the best! Kris was exceptional and made our stay here easy by managing the transportation, reservations, tours, and helping with any questions we had before and during the stay. Ivy was also wonderful and very helpful. Having Odessa cook a meal at the villa was really special and the food was great! Donald was also a great and safe driver for our transportation from and to the airport as well as nights out. Being gardeners, we really enjoyed the beautiful grounds. I would recommend having a rental car to get around to the grocery store and restaurants and tours. Jus Sail and Exodus boat tours were both great. We're so glad we stayed at Albatross Nest for our St Lucia trip and would love to stay again in the future!

Best view ever, lovely people!

We’ve been fortunate enough to travel to some beautiful islands in the Caribbean and Ionic Sea. The people here in St. Lucia are so friendly; the island, green and gorgeous; and the views at Albatross Nest, particularly magnificent. The villa is beautifully and comfortably laid out, with a fully equipped kitchen where we often cooked dinner together to enjoy the sunset. Plus Ivy and Thomas bring their own sunshine when they come to tidy up and groom the landscaping. And Kris is an attentive, efficient and good-humored host. We did rainforest tour (it was great!), Tet Paul Nature Trail (vistas are stunning) and my husband and I climbed Gros Piton (we’re in our mid-60’s). We slid a lot in the rain/mud on the way down -yikes! Took 6 hours in all, but we did it! Two bits of advice: one, book this villa if it is available. Two, let Kris arrange transportation to Villa for you on arrival, get you some basic groceries, and connect you with car rental agency to have cars delivered after you arrive. The roads/driving here are crazy, and you will likely lose WiFi in hilltops when trying to navigate (villa is at opposite end of island from airport). If you drive, you will get lost and frustrated and arrive (after dark?) short-tempered and stressed. NOT the thing to save money on. In any case, the experience at Albatross Nest was a 10 out of 10!

Our own personal resort

To add some context, my wife and I have traveled for years to many beautiful places including several of the Caribbean islands, Mexico, Spain, Portugal, London, Paris, Canada and many other beautiful and fascinating places. We found this listing on VRBO and immediately thought it was perfect for our family. We contacted the host Kris with a few questions and she responded quickly. We booked and proceeded forward. This was our first experience with major travel since COVID so we were not that versed on everything required for travel to St. Lucia. Fortunately, Kris was amazing from the very start and provided all the guidance we needed to navigate this process. Thanks to her help, our arrival was a piece of cake. Kris arranged transport from the airport which is on the southern most side of the island to the villa on the northern most side of the island. The drive was quite an experience but our driver was great and we arrived safe and sound to Kris greeting us with a warm welcome. She escorted us through the front door of the villa and we were immediately overwhelmed with the most amazing view we had ever seen. It was at that moment that we fully understood the name "Albatross Nest". Sitting high above the ocean, the house is even more beautiful than the pictures. Kris spent some time touring us around the villa and providing some suggestions for things to do on the island. Kris offered many great suggestions that included fine dining, casual dining, shopping, horseback, island tour via boat and many other local treasures. This was one of the if not the best vacation we've had. St. Lucia is a beautiful and enchanting island. However, the people we met made this trip truly something special. I also should add that Kris is the best host we could've imagined. She took great care to arrange everything she could for us making things quite special for my family. In short, we fell in love with this villa and the people of St. Lucia. Special shout out to Ivy, Odessa and Donald.

Kris Wagner professionally manages the property which belongs to an English couple who have been visiting St Lucia for the past 20 years. We fell in love with the island and after a very long search we finally found our dream home which we purchased in December 2009.
We look forward to being able to spend much more time in our beautiful home in St. Lucia when we retire but in the meantime we are making it available for holiday rentals when we are not there .
