Great location, beautiful view, comfortable and quire. We enjoyed the space the view and AJs bar next door. My local friends dropped by also enjoying the great view. I’ll book again next year for sure. Wife enjoyed seeing this part of our beautiful waterways
The river view was perfect. The house could use some TLC. Lots of random things in kitchen drawers with very little silverware and utensils. Garbage disposal doesn’t work. Three of the four patio chairs are ripped and unusable.
Very nice view of River with a restaurant/bar next door!
My family and I had an amazing time! Very clean inside/out with a beautiful outside view of the river. My brother and I also visited the restaurant/bar next door- it was convenient, nice place, good people and great food and drinks! The host was very responsive to my needs and was quick to answer my questions. Highly recommend. Definitely planning on returning next year!
Parking was by property garage in parking lot of restaurant next door. Garage was very old, dented up garage door.
Had to enter property through a rickety fence.
Upon entering found closet door with no handle, couch had stains on it, dishwasher in kitchen out of order. Bathroom fan upstairs did not work. Knats or some sort of mayflies on ceilings in bedrooms. Outside on deck were planters with nothing but dirt in them, no flowers planted.
Property extremely overpriced for what you get.
Pictures of yard were very deceiving much smaller than it looked.
We left and went to a hotel
Will never use VBRO again. Extremely dissatisfied.
I will be honest, I was a little worried about this one based on other reviews but I am here to tell you that this place is very nice and that the view can't be beat! Some reviews were saying it was dirty and dog hair everywhere but we did not have that at all....it was clean and spacious. Other reviews were saying it was not well stocked and to bring toilet paper, etc. We also found this to not be the case. It was stocked just as well as other VRBO properties we have stayed at. The bar next door was not loud at all and there was not garbage in the backyard as other reviews have stated either (and the food there was really good!). I am not calling anyone a liar but we were very nervous after reading the reviews and did not have any negative experiences.
Only cons and truths in other reviews were that both bedrooms are upstairs (the master is huge and the bathroom very nice) so if you can't do spiral stairs this may not be the place for you. The air conditioner unit downstairs did have a t-shirt or something stuffed in the side of it to fill a gap but it wasn't a big deal to us...we probably wouldn't have even noticed if I hadn't read it in a review.
Fenced in yard was awesome with our dog and the neighbor next door is very nice and also has a small dog that is very friendly!
All in all I would recommend this to anyone who wants a great view for a getaway!

Terrific Location
This was our first VRBO experience so we were unaware of what is normally expected.
Pros: Gorgeous view from both ground level and 2nd story main bedroom; exactly as promised for observing freighters & boat traffic. Nice furniture downstairs, plenty of room and clean. Open concept. Fenced yard was perfect for our tiny dog. Restaurant next door has great food and friendly staff. Very quiet area and peaceful.
Cons: Promotion says comes with a boat slip and pier that sits at the end of the dock that you could sit and fish off or relax. (Nothing showing this or letting us know where this is - no dock in front of house)
Air conditioner held in with a t-shirt, or a pair of shorts and a gap (both floors). The bugs were coming in.
Air conditioner only in main bedroom.
Thought opening 2nd bedroom window would help to cool off that room but no screens on windows.
Rail on stair off dangling. Spiral staircases can be charming but may pose a problem for someone unable to climb a narrow passageway with a heavy suitcase.
You’ll need to bring your own utensils and all toiletries. A lot of minor annoying imperfections would be cured with simple 25 cent repairs. Most drawers and cupboards filled with repair stuff. Drawers and dressers filled with someone’s clothes. Beer cans and trash left behind by others in the backyard tree area.
Proper needs deep cleaning with additional bowls, silverware. Also 2 of 4 chairs on deck had seat ripped out of them. Refrigerator had water leaking from where filter adapts to inside of unit. Dish washer didn’t work although it didn’t work last year either. Good view but I couldn’t recommend it to a friend.
Would never stay again and do not recommend this property.
The bed sheets had multiple spots of bodily fluids on them including blood.
Dishes in the cupboard were dirty with dried food on them.
Pet hair was all over the floor. I understand it is a pet friendly rental but it was obvious that the floor was not vacuumed.
Coffee pot had mold in the filter area.
The dock is not connected to the back yard, you must exit the fence and walk along the side of the restaurant to access it.
The property is accessed through the parking lot of the restaurant, which on the weekends is very busy and noisy with outside seating and the light from the blue halogen sign comes right into the bedroom window all night.
My family stayed here mainly to fish over the weekend, I would not recommend this property
Property good for us. Washer and dryer worked great. Dont let the age fool you.
There were just some things that were odd.
like the front window in kitchen at top would not close so there is an open gap and there was a spoon jimmied in to the bottom part of the window right side... we were not touching that ... window still open. Open Ceiling socket upstairs...open vent in ceiling there too... really nasty... took pictures. Lighting in cieling downstairs missing bulbs or burnt out. one worked. Had to bring a lamp down from upstairs.
there is a bar/restaurant next door AJs Salt docs... that was great... good food...went the 3 times.
This was not loud at night at all either, You would never know they were there. Best Clam Chowder we have ever had
The house was very clean, has open floor plan which was nice. You can sit in the living room and look out the double doors and see the beautiful blue water and watch the freighters and other boats go by. The neighbor was very friendly and nice. My dogs enjoyed the view as much as we did, the fenced in yard was a huge plus. There is a restaurant next door that has good food and another restaurant within a half mile that has great food and fun to visit as they have a lot quirky decorations all over. We would love to come back to the house again.
