Work Week in Pasadena
I stayed at this property with my son while he had a work project in the area for the week.
Pros:
-Quiet neighborhood/complex
-Unit is spacious
-garage is spacious and well laid out
-stores and restaurants are within easy walking distance
-host was very responsive, even if he couldn't help with what we needed.
Cons:
-Unit needs a deep clean. Sticky drawers, SS appliances had something smudgy running down the surface, ant trap in master bath had black liquid around it, shower grout is needing a scrub, white walls are scuffed and showing wear as is the furniture,
-old sponge in kitchen,
-the kitchen was sparse when it came to utensils and supplies, no kitchen towels,
soap dispensers in kitchen and bath were dirty and almost empty. Nothing was too horrible, just not what you'd expect from a VRBO rental.
-Parking garage requires a reader to get in. We were never given one, which meant anytime we came back one of us would have to go into the complex, down into the basement and manually open the gate. Again, not a huge deal except my son was coming home late from work every night which meant I needed to go down to the garage in the middle of the night to let him in. No compensation was made, just "sorry", the HOA is waiting for more to come in.
-Some windows don't lock
-Security codes for door needs to be changed to something not quite so obvious.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay. With just a little more attention to detail, the unit would be five stars.
