About this property

Lazy Bear Den on Lake Emily - minutes from the Cayuna Trails and Crosslake

Welcome to the Lazy Bear Den, a cozy year-round escape located right on the beautiful Lake Emily, in Emily, MN. Lake Emily is a much more private feeling lake that is close to all the action in the CrossLake area. This slow pace makes it perfect for water activities, fishing, snowmobiling, and ATV riding! The other option, which is my favorite, is sitting back and soaking in nature around you. Between the massive stary sky, the tall, beautiful pines, or all the sounds of nature, you can really feel the atmosphere the second you arrive.

Lazy Bear Den is a 3 bed 2 full bath, 2000 sq/ft home with plenty of space for everyone. This home is located on the north side of Lake Emily and close to the channel that ties to Lake Mary.

Upstairs boasts an open concept layout connecting the kitchen, dining room, deck overlooking the lake, and living room. The primary bedroom with a king bed, a second bedroom with a queen bed/twin bunk, and a bathroom are also located here.

This home comes fully furnished and equipped for a relaxing vacation.

Ninja DualBrew Coffee Maker for K-cups or grounds (please bring your own coffee)
Ninja Foodi to air fry, pressure cook, or slow cook
Electric griddle, toaster, blender, microwave, electric stove, oven, and refrigerator
Large dining table that can fit up to 8-10 comfortably with inserted leaves.
Dish chargers and linen napkins available for that formal dinner with the family
*New gas grill with grill utensils and cover (We have provided Propane for the gas grill as well as the tower heater under the patio. If you empty it please pay it forward.)
Various board games
Hair dryer and First-Aid kit are located in bottom drawer in bathroom.
Desk with ethernet cable is located in the primary bedroom.
*Room darkening curtains in each bedroom.
Safe in primary bedroom

Downstairs has an additional living space, kitchenette (unstocked) with refrigerator, second bathroom, and a third bedroom with 2 full beds/1 twin bunk. A washer and dryer along with various cleaning supplies are located in the utility room. Oxiclean, vinegar, and dryer sheets are available if you need to do laundry.

There is a walkout basement to the firepit/patio where you can take in the picture-perfect sky for some top-notch stargazing at night.

Pokers and fire starters may be found in the kitchenette drawers. Please purchase your own firewood. There is some there for

Our cabin is on well water. We recommend bringing some bottled water if you do not like well water.

We have a few life jackets available in the utility room, however, it is always best to bring your own for a proper fit.

*If you stay during the winter 4-wheel drive is strongly encouraged. May be difficult to navigate the hill with a 2-wheel vehicle during snow season. If you do get stuck and need assistance the host will immediately assist you.

Lovely Lake Retreat
We had a great time at Lazy Bear Den over the 4th of July. The space was clean and newly remodeled with plenty of room to stretch out for afternoon naps, puzzles and board games. The kitchen was well-stocked, but we opted for paper plates most of the time since there is no dishwasher. The lake was quiet, great for swimming (if you can get away from shore), the fishing was slow but lovely nonetheless. The property is close to town, making for a quick trip if you forget any essentials. Matthew was super responsive and helpful during our stay. We'd definitely consider staying here again.

A Perfect Week
Lazy Bear Den was a perfect location for our family to gather for a week up north. It is close to Crosby (the mine lakes are beautiful) and we enjoyed paddle boarding on Lake Emily as well. The host was very accommodating and even took time to mail items left behind.

My name is Matt. My wife and I live in the Mankato, MN area with our son. My wife is a nurse and I work in the area as a realtor. We love to travel, and we especially enjoy a nice fishing trip! We are very fortunate to be able to share our Lake Emily cabin with friends and family. We will do everything we can to ensure that our guests have a wonderful experience and can make some memories that last a lifetime!

Why they chose this property

We absolutely love the Emily MN area. There is so much happening all year round. There are great restaurants and breweries nearby. We also love to fish and there are some great walleyes, norther pike, bass, and pan fish between Lake Emily and Mary. There are tons of hiking/biking trails around the area. We also have family members that love to 4-wheel and snowmobile and the trails are fantastic around here!

What makes this property unique

One of the first things you will notice as soon as you turn on the road to the cabin is the tall pines. Nature invites you in for an amazing get away from all the stresses of life. This cabin is located on Lake Emily close to so many outdoor activities in the Outing/Emily area. This cabin is partially tucked into the woods with a big grassy area near the cabin's dock.
