About this property

Nature vacation - Azores

Our house is located above the village of Cedros, about 20km from the city of Horta, with a fabulous sea view. You can see the island of São Jorge and on clear days the island of Graciosa on the horizon. The “nipple” of the highest mountain in Portugal on the island of Pico is mostly visible through some trees. It is the last house on the mountain, 200m above sea level, you can often see the whale watching boats crossing in front of our house. The 6000sqm property has a covered barbecue area in a ruin, grass areas, seating, cistern, orchard and a forest with around 330 cryptomeria trees.
The toilet and bathroom are separate, each with a large sink, so that 2 people can brush their teeth etc. at the same time. can do,
- The basement is a bit low, so it is not recommended for people over 1m90,
- Behind the house is a guest room with a pull-out double bed. We do not offer it, as it sometimes rains in there (depending on wind direction & strength).

Erholungs- und Natururlaub in absolut ruhiger Lage!

Wir waren begeistert von der Woche, die wir in Siegfried und Isabells Ferienhaus "Cantovento" auf Faial verbringen durften. Das Haus liegt ruhig abgelegen im beschaulichen Ort Cedros und ist von einem zauberhaften Garten umgeben. Es verfügt über eine vollständig eingerichtete Küche und kann sogar mit einer sehr interessanten Musik- und Büchersammlung aufwarten! Hier bleiben wirklich keine Wünsche offen. Ein großer moderner LED-TV ist auch vorhanden, wurde von uns allerdings garnicht benutzt! Die Insel selbst ist ein Traum und von Cantovento kommt man schnell mit dem auf Faial doch obligatorischen Mietwagen an alle Örtlichkeiten und Ausgangspunkte für Wanderungen! Der Kontakt mit Siegfried war sehr angenehm. Nicht ausgeschlossen, dass wir wieder kommen :)! Beste Grüße, C&S
