About this property

Beautiful lake home at a private camp

Our charming lake cabin is located on our private summer camp property on Lake Galilee, just East of Mellen, WI. Wake up to amazing sunrises over the lake!
You will have access to 60 beautiful acres of camp property for some beautiful hikes on our nature trail, as well as access to canoes, paddleboards, and kayaks (seasonally) to use on our 212 acre, quiet lake. You also have seasonal access to our Pickle Ball/Tennis/Basketball Court right next to the cabin! (equipment not provided)
If you stay during the winter, the snowmobile trail is right next to our property with easy access. The property and surrounding area is also great for ice fishing, snow shoeing, cross country skiing, and downhill skiing! Hunting is not allowed on the property. Located 12 minutes from Copper Falls State Park, 25 minutes from Whitecap Mountain, and within 30 minutes from Saint Peter's Dome/Morgan Falls, Potato Falls, Upson Falls, and Wren Falls. We're also less than an hour from Bayfield and Hayward.

This rental was very clean and we enjoyed our stay. We saw deer, ducks and Canada geese on the property. At night there were so many stars! You can't see many in the city, so we loved that.

We fully enjoyed our stay at Camp Eagle Ridge. The cabin was very clean and comfortable. The cabin and the setting was as presented. Very quiet in the day and night. We enjoyed the sunrise on Lake Galilee and the there are more starts in upper Wisconsin then we have at home. The location was easy access to Copper Falls and the town of Ashland on Lake Superior. In Ashland, the Sandy Shores Cafe has a awesome breakfast. Our time went to fast as usual and we will recommend Camp Eagle Ridge to anyone who is looking for a relaxing get away. Thank you, Erik and Kelly !

We had a fantastic time staying at Eagle Ridge. My daughter loved seeing the camp in the off season and had a great peaceful weekend. Having deer for neighbors each evening was a fun treat.

Beautiful, quiet cabin set inside a youth camp. Off- season so we were the only people there. It was wonderful. Very short drive to Cooper Falls state park. Location was perfect for our needs. We used the pier to enjoy the water. Sat on the patio of the cabin and saw several deer pass through the property. A couple things that could improve the stay, letting us know to bring our own life jackets sooner than the final email 1 day prior, and maybe a couple extra towels. We had 2 bath towels, 1 hand towel and 1 washcloth for 2 adults for 4 nights. This is not a complaint as this was a great place to stay. I highly recommend this cabin and would seek to rent it again if we stayed in this area.

We absolutely loved our stay at Erik’s cabin for our 37th anniversary. The grounds were nicely kept, the nature trail was beautiful and the cabin had everything we needed. This area is a hidden gem! We did not have enough time to see all we wanted to. The beauty is overwhelming, from Copper Falls State Park, to Lake Superior, to Potato Falls (highly recommend) the sights were amazing. We were blessed with brilliant Fall colors and warm weather. We kayaked both nights under an almost full moon and it was spectacular! We were treated to two swans swimming by our lake front our first morning…amazing! We enjoyed our coffee on the lakeside lounge chairs both mornings. No restaurants seemed to be open Tuesday or Wednesday night, but the gas station/grocery store supplied us with all we wanted, very nice folks there. Ribeye steak dinner both nights! We had the perfect trip! Thank you!Bill and Cheryl :)

Why they chose this property

This property is absolutely gorgeous! Plenty of woods for hiking, and plenty of open area to enjoy as well. Beautiful Minnow Creek flows out of Lake Galilee and through the middle of the property. The 100 foot pier, equipped with a large bench, is great for watching sunrises, relaxing, and fishing. The gazebo next to the cabin is also a great place to gather and relax.

What makes this property unique

Because this property is also a summer camp, you will have access to paddleboards, kayaks and canoes (seasonally) Life jackets are NOT provided, please bring your own. You will also have access to our pickleball/tennis/basketball court (seasonally). Equipment not provided.
