The space
" Why sometimes I've believed as many as 6 impossible things before breakfast."- The White Queen, Through the Looking-Glass.
This space is very unique and because of this I wanted to do something fun with it.
After arriving to your parking area you will need to climb down some steps to get to the gate where all the fun begins, so OFF with your head... I mean watch your step! Walk down the gravel path to the gate and make sure to take your time to enjoy all the fun details on the way inside the house. Say hello to the door knob for me!
The living room is a comfortable size and is equipped with a full sized sofa sleeper. It is big enough to hang out and watch television in but the largest part of the house is the "Tea Room" also known as the kitchen. Enjoy a fully stocked kitchen with plenty of pots and pans for cooking meals. Also enjoy the unique and handmade light fixture above the table made from tea-pots and tea cups! Pray tell, Why issss a raven like a writing desk?
The White Rabbit room- Located off the living area to the right hand side. In here there is a queen sized bed. This room has the largest closet and in there you will find extra blankets, pillows, the pack and play, and other various items you might need during your stay. Whatever you large beings do, do not use the rabbits door! You will surly get stuck and it might be downer on your vacation.
The Cheshire cat room- Located to the left of the living area. There are two twin beds in this room. One of them is a trundle bed (a bed that pulls out from under another bed). This is going to be the smallest of the bedrooms. Sorry about the cat, he really loves that tree.
The Alice room- Up in the very tip-ity top of the house you will find my favorite room of all. Notice the wall paper and nic-nacs on the shelves. I also would like to point out the very clever drapery... tell me... do you think it looks anything like Alice's dress.
For an extra bit of fun find the hidden White Rabbit in this house and let me know if he made it to the queens gate in time.
House Disclaimers-
If you are the very tall type of human please let it be known that there are some areas of the house including the Alice Room and the down stairs shower that have short ceilings, we wanted the White Rabbit to be cozy and feel at home!
This is an old home original to the mid-town area and the structure of the building is built with rough sawn lumber. There have been many updates to the house but it still is not anything like a new construction. The down stairs bathtub has an older cast-iron tub which has been sanded, striped, and cleaned thoroughly but there are still some stains mainly around the drain.
If you are the princess and the pea type of sleep The Alice room upstairs is not going to be the best room of choice for you. It is on the side of the house located by Sudderth drive. This is a busy street and you can hear car noises. There is an AC in there that can be turned on for white noise that does work very well but beware as you have been warned.
You will have to climb stairs. The stairs to the house are Railroad ties... please keep this in mind.
There is one step down from the walkway to the door of the house.
There are some steps up to the kitchen and up to the Alice room.
