Weekend Break
We enjoyed our time and the cabin. It was cute and clean. Plenty of utensils and kitchen supplies for what we needed. It was quiet even though the other cabins were full. Great space for kids to play in front of the cabins. Nice area to walk in the morning too. Plenty of nature to see. Do take a foam mattress to put on the queen bed if you don’t like hard mattresses. We will definitely stay here again.

My great-grandfather started "Camp Waltonia" in 1921 as a primitive fishing camp. Now, 100 years later, 16 cabins and a beautiful riverfront. I'm the 4th generation owner/manager of Waltonia on the River. I grew up here and love seeing folks enjoy the property.

Why they chose this property

This is a classic Hill Country retreat on 10 acres with 16 individual cabins. A shared recreational area in the center of the property, with ping pong, corn hole, washers pit, playground, volleyball and a basketball hoop. 600 feet of private riverfront access and NO crossing a busy highway to get your feet in the river! A great place to "unplug & recharge"!
In the off-season, this is a great location for your "base camp", stay here and enjoy area state parks (Guadalupe, Enchanted Rock, Lost Maples, Garner).

What makes this property unique

A great place to make memories! Enjoy the stars at night, the sunrise and sunset over the river. A full day of outdoor fun!
