About this property

Private Suite in the Mansion at Westglow Resort & Spa, located just ten minutes from downtown Blowing Rock. Westglow ranks among the top ten spas in the US. The Grand Master has a king bed and an ensuite bath with the original vessel tub/shower. Grand Master is on the second floor accessed by stairs. Guests have access to the Mansion common areas (living and dining rooms) and hospitality room (microwave, refrigerator, and coffeemaker). Facility use of the spa is included with your stay.
This suite is located on the second floor of the historic Mansion. Each suite contains an ensuite bathroom, television, and closet. Amenities include an assortment of soap and shampoo. There are no kitchen facilities available for guests and no restaurant on property. Guests are encouraged to make reservations at restaurants in Blowing Rock which is a short five minute drive well in advance of visit to ensure availability. Lunch is available in the spa cafe Thursday-Saturday (May 1-December 1) and Friday-Saturday (December 2-April 30) with the purchase of a spa day package. The first floor of the Mansion contains a living room, dining room, library (with bar and ice bin), and sun porch available for guest use on a first-come basis.

Weekend Get Away

The property has a rich history and charm to spare, however, it is now for sale and is a shadow of what it once was. Having been there before, we were disappointed in how few amenities it now offers. The pre check-in emails did disclose there was no longer a restaurant on property but we were disappointed to find Folgers k-cups and box cereal as the only on-site breakfast options. There was no staff for check-in and the key was taped to the front door when we arrived. The spa was fully booked, with limited staff, but still worth the trip. We would recommend staying there, because of the location and charm, but book it knowing it feels more like staying in a vacant house rather than the resort spa it once was.

Relaxing spa weekend!

Had a wonderful weekend staying at the Westglow Mansion! The mansion was beautifully decorated and immaculate. All the comforts of home were provided. Just a short drive to downtown Blowing Rock. Enjoyed both days relaxing at the Westglow Spa and finished the weekend with amazing massages. We will definitely be back!
