Beautiful rustic yet modern log cabin on quiet lake
Recently built square timber log cabin with 4 bedrooms and an outside bunkie with two twin beds. It has been a family cottage since we built it but we occasionally rent it out. The lake is very clean with few cottages (70% Crown land) and has excellent swimming and fishing. New large dock. The cabin has a large and charming screened in porch for relaxing and dining outdoors. Cabin and the bunkie sleep 9 people. The property has a remote wilderness feel and is only 2 hours from ottawa, 3.5 hours from Toronto and 1 hour from Kingston. Includes the use of a canoe and several kayaks.

Cottage is well kept up. Very comfortable. Well stocked. The host was really nice and always answered right away when we had questions, and ensured our visit was a good one. He gave us a lot of info about nearby stores, beach and such. Screened in porch was really nice for eating and relaxing. Really nice dock. We had a great time and wouldnt hesitate to book this cottage again.
We had a wonderful stay in October. The colours were spectacular. You have great privacy here. The lake is not heavily populated but there are enough other properties around to not feel isolated. And the cottages/homes that are there are all beautiful. We kayaked, caught fish off the dock, had campfires with wood provided. Everything we needed was supplied and Lorne couldn't have been a better host. Hit the bakery in town if you get a chance. Stuffed roast pork sandwhich and brownies. Mmmm.
This is the perfect balance of rustic and modern conveniences. The lake is just about perfect, great for paddling, fishing, and swimming. The cottage is perfect Canadiana and the screened in porch makes it possible to have every meal al fresco. We loved it.
